Chapter 15

Gloria's POV

Today was the court day. since billie and adie want to adopt me and my "mother" is looking for me so we have to go to court and see who will take custody of me.

"Fuck" I heard billie scream.

"What's wrong billie?" I said

"Our lawyer is going to be late"

"Why?!"

"He said he has something he needs to do that can help our case" billie said pissed "he said we need to try and stall"

"Well that's going to be fun" I said smiling

"What's going on?!" adie said

"Our lawyer is going to be late and he wants us to stall" billie said

"Then why is Gloria smiling like an idiot?!"

"Because I know how we can stall" I said and walked to the court room and sat at our table. I saw my mom entering with her lawyer and sat at the other table. the judge came in and court was in session.

"We here to discuss the custody of Gloria Billie Joe Armstrong" said the judge "first of all we have Gloria's mother claiming that her daughter has been kidnapped..."

"Sorry your honor but before we continue this I would like to say something" I said

"Objection" said my mothers lawyer (his name is Barney Sykes)

"Overruled" said the judge "where is your lawyer miss Armstrong?"

"I will be our acting lawyer seeing as our lawyer will be kind of late"

"Gloria what are you doing?!" billie whispered

"Trust me billie I know what I am doing" I whispered back

"Objection" said Barney "she is not even a qualified lawyer"

"Yes that's true but I know what I am doing you see if you check my record that you have in your hands your honor you would see that I used to be a detective at the Santa Barbra police department..." I said

"That proves nothing" said Barney

"Which means that I have had my share of court and I have been a lawyer for a couple of cases" I said

"I'll allow it" said the judge

"You can't just do that. she is not a qualified lawyer and..." started Barney

"One more word out of you mr. Sykes and I will drop you from this case" said the judge sternly.

<two hours later>

"Recess" said the judge.

"Ok billie check where the lawyer is because I can't keep this going on forever" billie nodded and called the lawyer "ok we are going good on this case but we don't have any evidence against her so our chances are weak"

"Carlyle said that he needs a few minutes" billie said

"Ok good that gives us a chance to bring in a witness to testify against my mother" I said

"But Gloria who will you bring to the stand?! I mean you already got Joey and jake to the stand" Adie said

"Yes and that was phase one of my plan which is to prove that you guys are great parents because apparently billie has a few things against him on his record" I said

"I'm sorry about that but it was a rough time for me but I am clean now" billie said

"I know we needed the judge to see that you are off the drugs and taking care of your family and that's what we did" I said "now off to phase two I already called Pritchard and he should be here by now"
