Chapter 16: Telling The Truth
Michael's P.O.V.
Oh no..... What if he'll do something bad to Fiona, me or Nina? He might harm us and--- Wait THEY'RE HUGGING?
"Big bro! I haven't seen you seen you came home from high school in Indiana... No, wait.. Since you graduated college!" Fiona shouted happily. Brother? Oooooohh.... Fiona and Nina's brother..... Whoa.....
"Big brother!!" Nina squealed. She gave Felix a really tight squeeze.
"Whoa, whoa! Tell me something first!"
"What?" Fiona asked.
"Where's mom and dad?"
Fiona and Nina were silent, and I knew I can't just blurt it out. Unless he asks me.
"Michael?" Felix asked.
"Do you know where my parents are?"
"Ermm.... Yeah..... But I couldn't really say it."
"What? Come on! Someone tell me!"
"Erm. Let's just say, they're underneath..." I said, unsure of what to say next.
"What do you mean?"
"Straight to the point?" I carefully asked.
"Of course! Somebody tell me!"
"Dead." I said. A frown grew on my face.
"Bad joke, Michael." He told me as he clenched his fists. Man, he must've thought I'm joking. But... I'm telling the truth!
"It's true, Felix...." Fiona said in a soft voice. It could've been inconspicuous, but I always did have a keen sense of hearing. Felix must have heard it because he loosened his fists and his eyes became watery. Oh no. Now, how do I let them stop crying? I mean, I understand... They feel sad and depressed for losing their parents, but I just don't know how to let people stop crying.
