I was able to wiggle my way out from under the wolves and took off running into the woods. I was letting my paws guide me, and before I knew it I could smell Bret's scent. I looked behind me and saw the wolves still giving chase and gaining on me. I did the only thing I could think to do.

{BRET'S POV}

Me and Alice were arguing with her siblings when I heard a, very familiar, howl. I grabbed Alice's arm and pulled her out of the front door, then took off into the woods.

"What's going on?!"

"No time to explain, you'll see."

I skidded behind a giant tree and crouched down. I saw a familiar hazel shape flash past, then I charged out and pinned the alpha to a tree. Alice ran in and attacked the hunter and Leah turned back and attacked the smeller. We finally got them to run away and I turned back. Leah ran up and jumped in my arms.

"Oh thank god you came."

"What's going on?"

"They must have figured it out, that I let you go, because they came and attacked me."

"Well, where are you going to go now?"

"I was wondering if I could stay with you?"

"Well, you'll have to talk to Alice about it."

Leah looked at Alice, with big puppy dog eyes.

"Can I?"

"Sure, I don't see a problem."

"Great, let's go and introduce you to everyone."

We walked back to the house and first me and Alice walked in, and everyone came to the door.

"What was that about?"

Leah then walked in behind me and everyone looked at her. She grabbed onto my arm and I wrapped it around her shoulder.

"Everyone, this is Leah...my little sister."

"WHAT?! I didn't know you had a little sister."

"She's so adorable!"

"Will she eat as much as you do?"

"Ya, probably?"

"Great! Now I need to buy twice as much food."

We all started laughing, and Leah leaned more onto me.

"It's ok, you get used to them."

"I hope so, do you think they like me."

"Of course they do, and if they don't I'll teach them a lesson. You here that Jake!"

"Loud and clear!"

"Now, where are you going to sleep?"

"She could share a room with Vickie?"

"OO, that would be so fun! Girl talks!"

"Is that ok with you?"

"Uh, sure."

*Time skip*

Leah finally got situated in the house, she's even going to school.

"Bret?!"

"Yes?"

"Let's go hunting, I'm hungry."

"Ok, let's go."

I went to the door and Alice ran up behind me.

"Ready?"

"You're one who asked."

"I know but you might not be ready."

"Yes, I'm ready."

I then leaned over and kissed Alice on the cheek.

"See you in a bit."

"See you."

"And Leah, don't eat my food again, or else."

"Oh, I'm struck with fear."

I then ran out to the tree line to meet Alice.

"She settled in well."

"Ya, I'm happy."

{LEAH'S POV}

"So, what are Bret and Alice?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, they kiss each other and practically do everything together."

"Oh, I'm surprised Bret hasn't told you. They're mated."

"WHAT?! Is that even possible."

"I guess so, we were surprised when we first found out too."

"Well, at least Bret found the right one."

"Know my turn. Has Bret always liked vampires?"

"Ya, pretty much, as long as I've known her."

"That's a long time and to not hate your 'immortal enemy'."

"I know, but I agree with Bret about the whole vampire thing. Why do we have to hate you?"

"I don't know."

"Well, I'm going to eat."

"What about what Bret said?"

"I'll just leave some for her."

"Ok, but if she kills you, I warned you."
