Soul Mates

Chapter 3

Lauren's POV

   I stopped breathing and was frozen in the kitchen. Sentinel Service was here to take us away and do who knows what to us. I thought about the night in the bowling alley exactly 1 year from my power discovery. A girl who lost control because she was being harassed. How my father went up to them said something and they left, as my dad walked back to us. I wondered what happened to them did, they get caught by this group as well.

   I saw movement from my right eye and saw Andy slowly get up from the kitchen counter and stood in the entrance of the kitchen, in front of me. That's when it hit me Andy will be in danger the most because of his power. If they take us away they will separate us and how can I leave him alone with them. I slowly walked and stood behind him, ready to give support when what I heard next stopped me in my tracks completely.

   "Please Andy didn't mean it don't take them away from me."

   "I'm sorry, but Reed Strucker gave the go ahead did he not tell you. So can you please move aside."

   That's when our mom lost it she moved away from the door, sliding down on the side of it. I couldn't believe this was happening, both are parents are giving us up, they don't want us. That when I saw them enter and notice the whole house start to shake. I looked and saw Andy shake uncontrollably with anger and tears on his face. I knew what was going to happen and we needed to escape, so I was waiting for the right moment.

Andy's POV

   I couldn't believe our mom let them in to take us away. I also didn't understand why our dad said it was okay. He puts dangerous mutants away so does that mean he sees us as dangerous. With this knowledge I started getting angry at them, the sentinel services, the bullies, and I knew we needed to escape. With that in mind I let my anger take control and decided to focus on the uniform guys who were trying to talk me down.

   "Hey calm down we only want to take you in for questioning I promise," said a brown skin man with a bald head.

   "You think I believe that, my dad puts people like us away."

   "Just calm down and come with us quietly okay, you don't want your sister or you getting hurt."

   When he mentioned that I got angrier. How dare they think I will let them hurt her or me. I felt Lauren touch my back with her hand and felt what she was trying to say to me. She was ready to run, to leave everything behind and escape. That's when I decided to let it out, all my anger and frustrations.

   "GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE!" I shouted and released my power.

   I saw everyone even our mom be blown back towards the door of our house. The front part of our house was falling apart and I stood there. I didn't mean to hurt my mom or take apart part of the house, but I did. I thought we were okay but saw the agents get up and raise their weapons at me. They started shooting, I saw the bullets heading towards me and thought I'm gonna die. As I was thinking this I saw the bubble shield again.

   The bullets weren't penetrating it and it was protecting me. I turned and realized Lauren saved me again, she grabbed my arm and we both ran out the back door.

   "RUN ANDY HURRY TO THE CAR I SNUCK THE KEYS WHEN MOM WAS TALKING TO THEM!."

   "I'M RUNNING LAUREN YOUR THE SLOW ONE REMEMBER."

   We ran to the car and Lauren got in the drivers seat, she started up the car and Sped away.
