"Oh, look who showed up." You roll your eyes, gathering your knives and belt that holds all of them for the fight was sure to take place.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Isaac asks, his voice innocent and confused.

"Are you kidding?" You slam the case shut and stand there, jaw clenched and eyes narrowed at Isaac.

"Now what?" Isaac sighs.

"Why did you leave? Huh? Why?" You shrug your shoulders, knowing exactly why he left in the middle of the night but you want him to tell you.

"I was with Scott." Isaac tries to defend himself. "You can ask Miss McCall, she was at the house."

"Bullshit!"

"How do you even know?" Isaac voices raises with defense.

"Because I'm not a moron?" You furrow your brows, staring at your boyfriend you no longer have trust in.

"She needed me."

"She needed you?" You laugh at the horrible defense. "Okay, she has friends. There's Scott, Kira, Stiles, uh, I don't know, me. Hell, she could talk to her damn dad."

"Nothing happened!" Isaac walks towards you with his words echoing off the walls of your garage.

"I don't care!" You holler back. "If she calls you and needs you, you go running! God, watching you with her is like watching Stiles with fucking Lydia. It's disgusting. You're dating me!"

"Oh, trust me, I know!" His eyes widen as his words are almost sarcastic and fed up with the fighting. "But when my friends need me, I try and be there, y/n."

"Your ex-girlfriend needed you and I fucking needed you last night! I needed you and you. Weren't. Here. Lydia is my friend, too and I'm worried just as much as Allison is!" Tears burn the back of your eyes with heartbreak and rage.

Isaac loved you, he really did and he showed you in every way imaginable but, there were parts of him that loved Allison, too. You were okay with that. You understood that people don't just get over their first loves especially when it's people like Allison Argent or Isaac Lahey. Allison is perfect in every form of the word and Isaac has had a rough past. You respected what they had and understood it but, you were tired of Allison needing him and Isaac ditching you. When you didn't need him, it was fine because you'd want him to do the same for you but last night you needed him and he ditched you for Allison. And it wasn't the first time.

"I'm done doing this." Isaac shakes his head as a hand runs through his blonde hair.

"No." You hold the word firm as Isaac's eyes meet yours. "You don't get to call it this time." You scan over him with hints of disgust and betrayal etched in the wrinkles of your forehead. "I do. We're done." You latch you knife covered belt over your waist and around your torso and walk up to him. "For good." Your mouth stays in a straight line, holding your emotions steady as you leave him in your garage.

Isaac stares at your back as his heart breaks. The both of you have called it quits plenty of times. Everytime, it was over something petty which is why you always made up by the end of the week but this was different. You were walking away and not going back because you knew, no matter how hard it was to accept, the two of you weren't working and weren't going to work. You needed someone reliable and he needed someone who would be patient. That just wasn't either of you at this point in time. It was better to end things now than to end up ending them later when the two of you even more invested. It was the right choice.

You and Isaac make your way to Oak Creek, the drive silent and awkward but you push him out of your mind. It was about finding Lydia and making sure Stiles didn't die. The goal was to save your friends an that's all that mattered to you in that moment.

Once arriving at Oak Creek, you meet up with Allison, Kira, her mother, Scott, and Stiles. All of you hold nerves, but no one willing to admit they're afraid of not being able to save both Stiles and Lydia.

"We're gonna go find Lydia," Scott says as two Oni appear with the Nogitsune. "Try and fight them off as much as you can." Scott intrusts and everyone agrees.

Kira's mother goes back and forth with Nogitsune while you try and keep your distance from Isaac. You decided you'd only interact with him during this if you needed to. As the Nogitsune finishes its taunting, a firefly appears in Kira's mother's hand while six Onis appear around the group of you.

All of you get into positions to start fighting off the Oni. You're able to take one each and a war has begun. You use your knives to block the sword coming at you repeatedly as your adrenaline starts pumping. When another Oni circles you, Allison shoots her arrow and the two of you smile, with thanks. Isaac's growls fill your ears as you throw a knife into one of the Oni, it evaporating into black smoke. Your attention instinctively turns to Isaac who was falling to his knees as one of the Oni was about to stab him. You quickly threw another knife, penatrating the Oni in the chest. It makes eye contact with you before evaporating just as the one did before. Isaac looks to you, eyes filled with relief as you nod to him. Just as you were about to turn back, another Oni comes and slides a sword right into your abdomen.

You look down as the sword is pulled from your stomach. You drop one of the knives you had left in your hand as hints of pain surround the wound. The rest of the Onis and Nogitsune disappear, satisfied with the work they had just done. Blood spirts from your mouth as you cough and fall to the ground. Isaac rushes over to you and moves you into his lap. His eyes are blue with his fangs and claws hidden. He's completely human above you and utterly distraught.

"Y/n..." Isaac's voice shakes as he puts pressure on the wound.

"I'm sorry." You whisper as a tear trails down your face. "I-I shouldn't have-"

"Shh, stop." Isaac shakes his head. "I'm gonna get Scott and we're gonna get you out of here, okay? You're gonna be fine." Isaac ushers for any of the girls to come over but you shake your head as best you can.

"Don't go."

"You just have to hold on a little longer." Isaac's voice cracks as he knows this is your end.

"I-I," You try to speak as your eyes grow heavy and blood spills from one side of your mouth. "I don't wanna die alone." The words are forced with heaving breaths.

His eyes gloss over with devastation, wanting more than anything to take back last night and even the hour before this. He'd give anything to be in place of you. Isaac felt as though you were too pure and good while he deserved to be in your position. It was unfair and you wouldn't have been stabbed had he been able to fight off the Onis. Isaac's heart filled with guilt as tears started to cascade down his cheeks.

"Okay." Isaac whispers as he holds you tighter.

"I-I-I," You try to force the words out as you choke on your own blood, your heartbeat becoming slower with every passing second. The initial pain you felt, completely gone. "love you, still."

"I love you, too." Isaac sniffles as his tears fall and mix with your yours.

Your mouth quivers as you try to keep talking but no words come out and it starts to feel like your drifting into a long tunnel, Isaac barely in your vision. His touch can barely be felt despite his firm grip. In seconds, the small bit of Isaac you could see fell short with your eyes becoming distant with death and you could no longer feel his grasp. Your blood stopped bumping with your stopped heart. Isaac held you in his arms, crying while everyone just watched in horror and agony.
