James POV:
Rileys been here two weeks and I have to say Im surprised at how well its been. For some reason weve gotten on really well. I guess she really does want to fix things between us.
Riley walks into the kitchen and sits next to me.
'James. I need to tell you something'
I look at her.
'Okay'
'I...um...Im moving out. I managed to find a place'
I just look at her.
'I said two weeks maximum and thats what Ive promised. Im leaving this afternoon'
'Does the others know?'
'No. Not yet. I thought I should tell you first'
'You dont have to go. Your welcome to stay with us'
'Why?'
'Because your family'
She puts her head down.
'I never acted like it'
I take her hands.
'Riley. Just because you messed up doesnt mean your not part of the family. I married you for a reason'
'And then I divorced you'
'Well I had a part to play in it too'
She looks at me.
'James Im so sorry for what I did. I dont know what I was thinking'
'Ri its okay'
'No its not'
'Ri the only thing that matters is that you tried to fix it'
'Yeah. TRIED. I didnt fix it'
I sigh.
'It will work itself out. I promise
She nods.
'I...um...I gotta finish packing'
'Are you sure you wont stay?'
'No. I said two weeks'
She then gets up and leaves the room.
I wish she didnt have to go.
