Chapter 7

After One Months

Naina

Kabir and I have become best friend in no time. We are comfortable with each other and I enjoy his company.

Kabir and I were hanging out at his house. We were watching Me Before You. I rested my head on his shoulder. I was crying while watching the movie.
"Hey, Calm down it's just a movie." he says to me as he rub my shoulder
"But how can he do that." I say
"Please don't ruin your mood because of the movie." he says
"Okay." I say as I rub my nose with the back of my hand

"So, Naina I wanted to ask something." he says
"Hmm" I say my shoulder still leaned on him.
"Are you free on Friday evening?"
"Yeah why?" I look at him through my lashes.
"Umm...Would you like to go on a date with me?" he ask nervously
OMG! he asked the question that I was waiting for, he asked me for date. I scream happily but not on outside, only inside.
"Yes. I would love to." I answer him happily and look at him.
"Its ok to say No I'm not pressuring you...Wait did you say yes?" he ask
"Yes, Kabir I said yes." I say and kiss
him on the cheek.
"Oh. Naina I'm so happy." he says and hug me and I hug him back.
"Okay. Where are we going?" I ask
"That's a surprise." He tells
"Okay, I will wait for your surprise." I tell him
"Come on lets go to my home, dinner would be ready." I say
"Okay let's go."

After dinner I walk Kabir to the door, Rishabh had to go early due to some college work.
"Goodnight." I say
"Goodnight." Kabir says and kisses my forehead. I really like it when he does that.
"I can't really wait for Friday." he says his lips still on my forehead
"Me too." I say
We both heard a cough I backup from Kabir to see My Mother staring at both of us.
"Goodnight Kabir, its pretty late. See you at morning." she says
"Goodnight aunty, Goodnight Naina."
"Goodnight" I whisper
"So young lady tell me what were you doing?" she asks
"Umm..Maa..that..I..Uhh..." I shutter looking at the ground.
"Naina beta, you can tell me, I'm not gonna yell or scold you." she says lifting my chin.
"Maa, Kabir asked me on date on this Friday." I say in low voice
"Finally." she says and I give her a confuse look.
"I know how both of you at look each other. He adores you Naina." Maa says "I'm really happy that he asked." Maa add further
"Me too, Maa." I say and a small smile comes on my face thinking about Kabir.
"Goodnight," Maa says. "Its late you should probably sleep and you have college tomorrow na?" Maa asks
"Yes, Goodnight Maa. I love you" I hug her
"I love you too." Maa says

I enter my room and do a happy dance. I still can't believe that Kabir finally asked me on date. I'm really looking forward for the date.
I look at the watch and its still 10. So I can call Aditi and tell her about the date. I call her and the line says that the caller is busy as I'm about to cut the call she answers
"Hey babe" she says
" Hi." I say back
"So whats the reason of calling me so late." she asks
"Nothing, Can't I talk to my best friend this late."I say
"No miss Naina you don't call this late just to talk." So tell me what's the matter." she asks
I hear some one mumbling something in the background.
"Who are with you?" I ask
"Aarya. She came over sleepover as her parents are out of town." she tells  "Wait let me put the phone on speaker. Okay the phone is on speaker. Now speak."
"Umm....kabiraskedmeonadate." I say mumbling
"What? say it again."
"Kabir asked me on a date." I say there is silence on the other side
"Aditi, Aarya? guys say something." I say
I hear squealing and the other side and its so loud that I remove the phone from my ear.
"OMG he finally asked you. When is the date? Where are you going?" Both of them asks at same time.
"Guys calm down" I tell them. "The date is this friday and I don't know where are we going because he wants to keep it surprise." I tell them.
"Okay, So you and Kabir are going on date huh?" Aditi asks
"That's what he said." I tell her
"Man you're so lucky." Aditi says "I don't know when my prince charming will come." she says and sigh
"Come on I know he is some where waiting for the perfect time to meet you." I say to cheer her up.
"Yeah you're right. Goodnight see you tomorrow." she and Aarya says
"Goodnight." I say
I lie on my bed thinking about this date is going to turn out and doze of to sleep.

Kabir and Naina are finally going a date. *does a happy dance*
