"Umm, so an unknown number just texted me, 'We're coming over!'," Daniel mumbles, his voice muffled by cereal.

"Do you have Vivianne's number?" I questions.

"Yeah," he says guiltily.

"Then it's Matthew," I say, shoveling a couple of spoons of cereal in my mouth.

"What do I reply?" He asks uncertainly.

"Just say okay!" I reply. "It's like you're texting your crush in middle school!"

"Well, I'm talking to my current crush right now," he says with a teasing smile.

"Don't try to be funny. It doesn't work. Only Jack and Corbyn can do that," I say, pecking his forehead.

"Hey!" he protests.

"Can we go to Yew Nork City?" I shout.

"Your point is proven!" he shouts back as I let out a hearty chuckle.

"I know it is," I say with a small smile.

I go up to change into something simple and give myself a pep talk before meeting Matthew.

"You aren't in Ohio anymore, and he isn't the one of the only people who are nice to you. You have friends, a whole life here. Don't let him take you back to Ohio," I quietly murmur as I tie my hair.

"I'm not gonna let anyone take you anywhere, I just got you back," Daniel says.

"I'LL DO WHAT I WANNA DO B*TCH!" I shout defiantly.

"You wanna leave me?" he teases.

"Um--no! Wait what? Argh!" I shout, throwing my arms up in frustration while he laughs at me. "I'll get you back for this Seavey."

"I don't doubt that," he says before running away as I chase after him.
