Chapter 10 Jake
What the hell was Megan talking about? There is something going on with Axle that she doesn't want anyone to know, but she thinks I do. During class I knew she was texting some one and didn't want me to see so I looked away. Maybe she thought I was watching her.
I find Kelsey in Algebra waiting for me in our assigned seats. She watches me walk in and starts writing in her notebook. A strand of her hair falls over her face.
"Hey, babe." I greet her with a smile.
"Who is Megan?" She asks harshly.
"The new student from Arizona, Why?" I try to stay calm knowing if I get mad she will blow up in the middle of class.
She still hasn't looked away from her notebook. "Because a stupid sophomore told me you have been talking to her all morning!"
She starts yelling despite my calm tone.
Jenny a few seats in front of us a long with other students turn and look at us.
"Kelsey there is nothing to worry about. I was just talking to her. She is new and I'm the only person she knows." I try to ease her nerves.
Kelsey normally isn't the jealous type which is why I like her so much, but this is going a little to far.
"I don't want you talking to her. Got it?" She says quietly and harshly.
I agree with her for now just to get people to stop starring at us.
When it is finally time for Gym I find Megan in the hallway, by her locker.
"Hey, Megan!" I call to her.
She gives me a quick glance and then hurry's the opposite direction. Was what she was talking about this morning that bad where she doesn't even want to talk to me?
