Driving in my best little number
The water by my side wants me under
Didn't you know I liked you a lot
Didn't call you cause I forgot
Now the summers setting
And I'm left with no ending
Because you had me thinking
You could change the man you are

The night I saw your Red Corvette
Your Red Corvette
It flashed and it flashed and it flashed
Like lightning
The night I saw your Red Corvette
Your Red Corvette
And you were gunning it, gunning it, gunning it up
You were such a sighting

You had me running across the county lines
Caught up in those nets you call eyes
Didn't you know I liked you a lot
Didn't call cause I forgot
Now I'm feeling like I'm forgetting
Now I feel like there's an ending
Because you said you had to come back for your little dove
I fell like Alice in the Wonderland of your love

The night I saw your Red Corvette
Your Red Corvette, your Red Corvette
It flashed and it flashed and it flashed
Like lightning
The night I saw your Red Corvette
Your Red Corvette, your Red Corvette
And you were gunning it, gunning it, gunning it up
You were such a sighting

You were meant for loving and leaving
Had no problem deceiving
Everything I had for believing [in you]
Your touch was always a little too tight
In the heat of that night
Summer went fast when I was with you
A little too fast, that's what I thought

The night I saw your Red Corvette
Your Red Corvette
It flashed and it flashed and it flashed
Like lightning
The night I saw your Red Corvette
Your Red Corvette
And you were gunning it, gunning it, gunning it up
You had me slighted

Your Red Corvette
The night I saw your Red Corvette
