I fell in love with the dark
I saw the stars dance in his eyes
I felt no heat but the temper of his might
I taste the break in his heart as he says goodbye

And he plays his music as the reel goes
Life gets lost in his notes
Underground and under the sun
Is he the heart, is he the fire, is he Don Juan?

The stars align just to hear him sing
The clouds sway to his voice
The winds move to catch his grace
But he'll slip away into the Phantom Night

He fell in love with the light
He saw the sunrise in her eyes
He felt no pain but the touch of her delight
He tastes the break in his heart as she says goodbye

And he plays his music as the reel goes
Life gets lost in his notes
Underground and under the sun
Is he the heart, is he the fire, is he Don Juan?

The stars align just to hear him sing
The clouds sway to his voice
The winds move to catch his grace
But he'll slip away into the Phantom Night.
