Why do I keep coming back to this place
A few rounds of heaven and your face
I know what you are, what you're like
It's all that they say, is what I love about you babe
I couldn't let you go,
Even when I feel so far, so alone
If I were with another, it would never suffice
Then why do I feel like I'm so out of time
You're too bad, a little good, misunderstood
Have I loved you too much?
Have I loved you long enough?
I can't bring myself to say that
They don't ring true
Sometimes I feel I've over read you
Always on my mind, you live there, home bound
If I were to force myself to view another
The average, the normal, the mundane
The same, the monotonous, the safe
It does not satisfy, suffice
I would infinitely be yearning
For the man I loved when I turned the page
I loved him then, now and forever
Perhaps the mind is over worked with his name
And yet no matter how far I go
Why do I keep coming back to this place
