Who? When? Why?

After our conversation under the waterfall we decide to head into town and go to the library. I decide to spell Stefan so he is invisible  and silent to everyone but me. We walk past the Mystic Grill and I bump into Alaric as he is exiting, 'Whoa, there' he says as I look to him 'Where are you off to in such a hurry?' He asks, 'I am just heading to the library' I say shyly and walk past him, Stefan says to me 'Alaric is a history teacher and was an original vampire up until a while ago, you can trust him, he knows about the supernatural and all'. I stop whilst listening to him. 

'Hey Alaric?' I shout and he turns around, since he was walking in the opposite direction. 'Yeah?' He responds, 'Fancy helping me research a new Doppelganger project?' I say and he nods and smiles whilst running up to me. 'How can I help?' He asks.

For six hours we were looking in every book we could find relating to Silas, Amara and Qetsiyah. 'Still nothing' I say sighing loudly, 'me neither' Stefan adds. We both look to Alaric who is still nose deep reading a book on the origins of some lore regarding Doppelgangers. 'Found anything rick?' I ask inquisitively. 'I am not sure Alex, hold on... Here this book mentions a cure to immortality... 

'Qetsiyah was engaged to another witch named Silas, with whom she was madly in love. At his request, Qetsiyah concocted an immortality elixir that she had planned to share with him as a part of their wedding ceremony. However, after Silas betrayed Qetsiyah by taking the potion with her handmaiden Amara, who was Silas' soulmate and the true love of his life, Qetsiyah retaliated by kidnapping Amara, and using her eternal and indestructible body to bind the spell that created the Other Side.'

I stare at Alaric in awe. This is crazy. He continues on.

'Uh... At some point, Qetsiyah was killed by the Travelers, leaving behind a child who would continue the Bennett bloodline. From the Other Side, she was forced to watch as Silas refused to take the cure. To add insult to injury, when Silas and Amara became immortals, they violated the natural law that all things must die, so Nature found a balance by creating what they call "shadow-selves," or doppelgängers, who could die in their place. While on the Other Side, she was forced to watch Silas and Amara's shadow-selves find each other and fall in love over the span of over two thousand years, believing it to be the universe's way of demonstrating that their souls were forever bound. However, in reality, they were only drawn together because of a spell a Traveler named Markos cast in the 5th century.

Roughly a thousand years later, an altered version of Qetsiyah's immortality spell was used by the witch Esther to turn her children and husband into immortals, which involved the use of blood from one of the doppelgängers (a woman named Tatia) that came to exist as the result of Qetsiyah's original immortality elixir. '

Both Stefan and I sat with mouths a gasp listening to the story, 'Who is the Author of this Lore book?' I ask. ' Betty Ebbnan' He replies confused. 'What is it?'  Stefan asks. 'The name doesn't sound right' He says and writes it down. After many different switches with the letters, he works out that the name Betty Ebbnan is actually an anagram. The name is actually Abby Bennett. We all seem shocked looking at the name written down. 'That's Bonnie's Mother's name' Stefan says. 

I check my phone after leaving it on silent and find 18 missed calls from Klaus, 12 from Rebekah, 8 from Elijah and 1 from Kol. 'This must be important.' I rush out of the library and immediately call Klaus. After a deafening silence I hear that he hung up the phone. 'Son of a bitch' I whisper, the air feels suddenly colder, the streets are quiet and it has gone dark. I look up to the sky and breathe out, I notice the stars and smile to the sky as I begin to think everything that has happened through. 

I walk back inside and notice that the librarian is gone and that the lights are all off except for the ones where we are. I walk back over to Alaric and Stefan. 'Okay here is how things are going to work, only Alaric and I can hear and see you okay Stefan, you are too vulnerable at the moment with Silas being a witch and all so keep that in mind. Alaric, we are going to need to stay at yours tonight as we can't trust that Silas doesn't know what we have been upto.' I pass him over my phone number, 'Text me when you both get to your house and the address. I just need to check in with Klaus. Okay?' I say. They both nod and I turn, pull up my hood and walk down the street to the Salvatore manor.

 I keep my head up and my senses heighten as I turn the street and look at the house. 

Walking inside I feel a tingle in the air. Magic. I smell blood and my eyes glow a bright yellow, I draw on my wolf side and feel around me for my family, I focus hard and hear heartbeats. 

I levitate myself up the stairs so that I didn't have to worry about the squeaking. Landing on the landing I walk towards the sound of heartbeats, my nostrils filled with the smell of blood and my skin electrifying with the magic in the air. I turn and face the room and see Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah and Kol lying in a line, blood pouring out of their sides, their eyes having rolled back leaving them as white as snow. The blood moving towards one side of the room. I feel a tug on my arm backwards and, as If time has all stopped I stare at the face in shock.
