Rebekah's view

Forcing Bonnie to undo the curse she placed upon Alex was easier said than done. Sunrise was less than an hour away and Alex still wasn't awake. Time is running out, not just for Jeremy but for Alex. 'Time is almost up, Bon, so how do you want him dead? Heart out, drown him in the pool or classic head snap?' I ask. I look over to Klaus and notice his head placed on the outside of the thorns cutting him on the forehead. 'Nik, we will have her back soon'.

When Klaus is unhappy he would usually seek revenge to make amends. But he is strangely quiet and despondent. I walk over to his side noticing his bloody face. I stop holding onto Klaus when I smell one of my favorite scents. Blood. Bonnie's nose is bleeding as she is chanting her spell, mumbling on and on. I look over to see Kol terrorizing Jeremy and Elijah scoping the hall. 'Elijah, check on Mother, and if you find Finn, drag him by the collar down here to find out what the bloody hell hes been doing.' I shout. 'Who put you in charge?' Kol asks with a smirk, clearly worn out after repeatedly punching Jeremy.

As I look again to Alex's lifeless body wrapped in thorns. I watch as Klaus' feet gets covered in blood, I walk up to him and blood is pooling out of his hands. I watch wearily as the thorns are drawn away from Alex and to Klaus' blood.  I see his grip on her hand loosening. He falls to one side lying next to her. The thorns begin to wrap around Klaus as I grab him away, it retreats to the pool of blood on the floor. Alex's body is free from thorns and Klaus is lifeless beside her, like a re imagined version of Romeo and Juliet together but apart.

I fall to Klaus' side and check his pulse, faint but getting quicker. I check on Alex's pulse and she appears to be returning to normal. Bonnie cleans herself up and runs straight to Jeremy try to patch him up. I look over to Alex and notice her eyelids flutter open.  She wakes up with a jolt, shaking like a leaf and gasping for air. Something is wrong with her.
