A Dog's A Woman's Best Friend

For as long as you have lived which was seventeen years to be exact your dog has always been there to protect you through your dad passing away, to your relationship problems, your break ups and just any day your feeling down.

You owned a massive german shepherd who you named Toro when you were a child. You were spanish so you named him Toro which meant bull-like. It was because he was so big and protective like.

When your dad died it was kind of like your dog stepped up. It may sound weird but he always was there to protect you. When you bought guys over home he would scare them off if they got to far.

So when you bought guys home if they couldn't handle Toro, then they couldn't handle you.

You have been with Derek for almost four months now and you thought it was time to bring him home to introduce him to Toro.

"This is stupid. He won't like me, he'll just sit in the corner and whimper because I'm an alpha. Just like every other dog," Derek commented

You rolled your eyes " Well you haven't met Toro," You smirked opening the door.

Immediately Toro was at the door snarling at Derek. Derek responded growling back at your dog.

"Toro, pare, entrar ahora!" You scolded Toro telling him to stop and get inside.

Toro didn't back down though and neither would Derek even with your attempts.

Derek watched as the dog which was almost as big as his girlfriend take a crouch at him snarling even deeper.

His alpha instincts kicked in and he also crouched lower his eyes flashing red.

Toro stepped forward his eyes turning less threatening and gave an approving lick on Derek's cheek. After that Toro just marched away as if happy with his decision.

Derek shrugged in response slightly in awe of how the dog didn't step down and how protective he was of his owner.

"See, I told you he would like you!" (Y/N) squealed giving Derek a hug

Derek chuckled at her excitement returning the hug.

"Have I ever told you how sexy you are when you speak spanish," Derek complimented his voice husky.

"Yeah a few times I think," You whispered leaning in for a kiss before a bark interrupted you.

Derek sighed "Your dog's a cockblock,"

You cracked up laughing dragging Derek into the house.
