Chapter 36 - War of the Firsts

"Sage, I found out who is Matthias Wolf. Let us go back to my study room," sabi ni Sir Rusty pagkababa namin ni Sage sa living room.

"Sir Rusty, matanong ko lang, bahay niyo po ba talaga to nung di ka pa vampire?"

"Yes, this is my parents house. Sage adopted my last name. Sooner or later, kailangan namin umalis ng Pilipinas at magbago ng identity dahil wala akong signs ng aging after more than twenty five years."

"Nakita niyo na po ba ang remains ng mga magulang ni Sage?" tanong ko habang naglalakad papunta sa study room.

"We found the remains of Rajah Gatlan and Reyna Araya. Even Sage verified that those are the remains of his parents. Pero dahil isang life turning event ang discovery ng dalawang Filipino royalty, I decided to hide it from public. It hurts me to erase the memories of Gerald and my excavation team about Rajah Gatlan and Reyna Araya."

This book should be kept in secret. Kaya pala familiar ang name ni Matthias Wolf, I read about him somewhere here."

"He is one of the ten Royal Vampires, right?" confident na sabi ni Sage.

"I am sure you will remember him dahil may eidetic memory ka," nakangiting sagot ni Sir Rusty.

At para maiwasan ang conflict, ang sampung royal vampires ay hinati ang mundo sa kanilang pamumuno. "Sage created the royal vampires including me, but we are like programmed not to harm him. We tested it before, I attempted to thrust a knife to Sage, but my whole body repelled the idea of killing him."

"Ah parang automatic na hindi mo pwede betray or harm ang maker mo?"

"I see, parang may loophole. Sir Rusty, nameet mo na ba ang isa mga royal vampires?"

"Ano to spoonfeeding? Ano ko Google? Look, I already know who we are dealing with based sa nabasa ko sa books. But Rusty, he has real time information because of his connections. If I made Matthias as a vampire, surely he can't hurt me. But I'm worried kung anong pwede niyang gawin kay Rei."
