Chapter 20

Ok chapter 20 I'm putting it up early because I hate waiting and I want to see what you think.. This took me ages to write so I'm posting it up on one condition...you HAVE to comment..atleast one person..it's nit that hard...tell me what you think people! 20 chapters and nothing! PLEASE! Sorry about that rant :P

*sorry about this but I had to fix some mistakes and some parts I wasn't happy with..all fixed now though!*

Chapter 20:

Jades P.O.V:

Watching sky shift and bound out of the room I eagerly followed him feeling the excitement bubbling up inside me at the thought of freedom. That was until I saw sky awkwardly crash into a massive man. He had to be the biggest man I've ever seen - not counting my dad - he had shoulders that were as wide as I am and bulging muscles on his arms. The one thing that stood out most and will forever be etched in my mind, were his eyes. They were a piercing grey, but what scared me most was the unforgiving look of sheer hatred they held as he looked at sky as if her were a price of dirt dragged in on his shoes. My wolf knew he was bad news and I was wrestling with her to keep control, I was winning until I heard him say "but don't worry, I'll soon reunite you with your useless excuses for parents" I say red. Nobody says that to my mate, I would fight for him until I had no breath left in my body. At this point I lost control, giving in to my snarling trashing wolf. When she took over I felt a warm tingly feeling wrap around my body, then a sharp pain in my chest, throwing my head to the floor I whimpered waiting for the pain to go. I could feel myself changing, growing larger and stronger, I knew this was to do with the pastors print on my chest. I knew it was time. I lunged for Reece sending him crashing to the floor, I tried to snap at his face but he had me caught around my neck, pushing forward against his massive arms I got close enough to his shoulders to rise up on my hind legs breaking his choke hold on me and crashing back down on his left shoulder and rib cage shattering it instantly. I wasn't going to leave this man die quickly, I saw the pain he caused sky in a daily basis, so now I would make him suffer. I was broken from my thoughts by Reece as he shifted underneath me, making me loose my balance and stumble to the floor. He jumped at me but I saw it coming and jumped too crashing straight into him, he caught me with his claws leaving a massive tear from me ear to me nose across my eye leaving it blurry. I managed to tear a chunk of flesh from the side of his neck, with a yelp of pain he fell to the floor bleeding heavily. Unsteadily he got to his feet but before he could regain his thoughts I ran for him head on, shattering his ribs on the right. Growling I moved closer to his still body, sniffing him to see if he was still alive he turned and crunched down on my right front paw, shattering it between his massive powerful jaws. Letting out a bark of pain I stumbled to the floor unable to use my paw anymore. Using all my strength i made one last jump towards Reece I ripped through the flesh on his neck sending him crashing to the floor drowning on his own blood. "jade, jade!" I could hear a faint voice call from what seemed like miles away. "jade, please relax!" it was sky, but my wolf couldn't relax. Raising my hackles I snapped at his face, warning him not to get close. "I'm sorry I have to do this jade" he whispered, looking sadder than I'd ever seen him look before. He shifted and lunged at me. He underestimated me, he shouldn't have underestimated me. I dived down and turned onto my back as he sailed over me I straightened out my legs making contact with his chest smacking him off the wall, groaning he slid to the floor unconscious. This brought my wolf back to some description of reality. While I was distracted two other men jumped on me and pinned me to the floor snarling I thrashed under them but to no avail, they wouldn't move. Sky stood up and shook his head "alright sky, we got her for ya" said one particularly gruff voice. By this time my father and his group had arrived, I saw sky look at my father and my father nod back

at him as if to approve of something. Then sky moved in closer to my neck while i was still pinned down, and bit me. Searing pain ran through me, making me howl and thrash more that ever. Through the pain that clouded all my senses watching both sky and my father shift back to their human forms. "I'm sorry sir" sky said, pain evident in his voice. "it's ok son" my father said putting a hand on sky's shoulder. "there was nothing else you could do, she was to far gone to be talked back" by the time they were finished talking the pain coursing through my body had become unbearable, howling everyone ran to my side I could hear muffled voices shouting as if through a wall of water. Then darkness.

I woke the next morning to be met by the beautiful face of sky. only today he looked worried and stressed. His eyes were puffy and red from either lack of sleep or he'd been crying and he had bags under his eyes. Unable to speak i reached out my hand to him. Apon realising I was awake he jumped for my hand, kissing it over and over. "ohh jade, I'm so sorry!" he whimpered. "I'm so so sorry!" "water!" I croaked. He gave me a glass of water that had been standing on my bedside table. After finishing it I looked around, only now realising I wasn't at home. I was in a small hospital room which was completely white and stank of antiseptic cleaners. "what happened to me?" I croaked out, completely paralysed with fear after noticing I was hooked up to multiple machines. "baby I'm so sorry" sky whimpered with tears in his eyes. "when you attacked Reece your print changed and made you stronger but you lost control of your wolf, you were a threat to all of us. You attacked me so I had to move fast, I was the only one who could bring you back because I'm your mate. And the only way I could bring you back was to Mark you, but it went wrong.." listening to sky's voice waver as he fought to keep in control of his emotions nearly broke my heart. "because you were so strong after the fight and your wolf so wound up she fought against the changes that were happening to you because of the bite mark. You went into cardiac arrest, you nearly died on me baby, I nearly killed you!" pulling sky closer to me "sky it's ok!" I whispered, looking into his now black eyes. "but it was my fault jade, don't you see! I should have known!" he almost shouted. "sky, I dont care! I love you and were bonded now, I'm alive so forget about it" I smiled reassuringly, rubbing his clenched fist, trying to relax it. Feeling the waves of tiredness wash over me again, closing me eyes I whispered "goodnight sky" "good night jade, I love you" sky whispered back. i fell happily into a deep dreamless sleep, still holding sky's hand in mine.
