On the Prowl

Chapter Two - The Beginning of a New World

* * *"Bite" James ordered and I ran forward again noting to myself to bite softer as chunk after chunk of meat was thrown at me but my eyes were locked on the man in the stupied suit when I caught unfamiliar movent out of the corner of my eye, dividing my attention for a moment I saw a boy with shaggy tawnie colored hair and amber eyes watching me and in one moment he was a boy and the next, a large wolf with black on the top of it's head that trailed down it's back and tail but as the markings went further down it's body the black fadded to grey and that to a silver/white. As the wolf caught my gaze it smiled and tilted it's head back and released and ear peircing howl into the air. * * *

At the sound of it's howl I let out a high pitched, wailing yelp and fell to the ground trembling my eyes darting around.

"Siah!" James voice yelled but I remained still

"Siah, Siah get up" James was yelling patting my sides but when he tried to lift me I let out a farel snarl and those who had gathered around scurried back and my trembling stopped and was replaced by panting,

"what was that, where did that howl come from, it sounded like it was right inside the building" the voices of men murmmered around me but I blocked all of them out as the tawnie haired boy walked towards me

"Poor baby, did you fall down Princess" a deep rumbling male voice taunted and for the second time his disguise fell revealing the wolf who's eyes drifted to James who was once again trying to lift me and the male's tounge slightly lulled out of it's mouth and a hungery look entered his eyes. Pure defience and furry pounded thru me and a growl that put the early morning thunder to shame tore up my throat and the men around me stumbled back as I leaped to my feet and my snowy white fur rose and my lips pulled off of teeth

"The things gone rabid" A man shouted

"Siah! HEEL!" James shouted and I cringed and the other wolf laughed before turning to pad away

"Best to do what he says Princess wouldn't want to get in trouble" the wolf added and disapeared into the shadows along the building and I quickly sat my eyes moving around.

After the mass of people were sure that I wasn't a frauthing at the mouth going to rip apart everything I see rabid creature they moved closer and James patted my head

"Good Girl," he said with a sigh and cheif walked forward

"James do you feel comfertable continuing today?" the cheif asked and looking up at james he nodded.

Climbing into James's truck I stretched out in the back seat and nuzzled my head under a paw the only sound was of James closing his door and than the truck starting, we drove in silence for what seemed like eternity until James finally let out a sigh and I lifted my head and looked at him with sad eyes

"What happened in there huh Siah?" he asked,

"A PHSYCOTIC WOLF SCREAMED MY EARS OFF AND THAN WANTED TO EAT YOU" I yowled but it only came out as a low wine and he screatched the back of his head his mouth opening to say something but the high pitched tone of his cell phone blarred from the cup holder and

I cringed at the sound.

"Hey, Kristie whats wrong?" James asked and I could hear Kristie's voice talking quickly on the other end

"Well how was I supposed to know?! (pause) No she didnt tell me se was asleep when I left, (pause) okay okay yes yes I'm on me way, (pause) Love you to bye honey" flipping his phone shut James's eyes darted around and he flipped a 'U-ie' and sped up.

"Well Siah looks like your day isnt over yet" James said and I cocked my head.

"Alright class quite down up next for show and tell is Carrie Fairwynn" the nasaly woman's voice said and I heard Carrie squeel as her feet pounded towards the door that I was locked behind and when it opened she reached out for me and James went to step forward and Carrie sent him a death glare
