Kelsey POV

Essie and Niall had been picked up by Zayn before we left, and the hospital let me leave soon after the procedure.

So that was a relief.

They also told me that I'm beginning to become underweight,  so eating carbs once a week was acceptable .

Yes, thank god.

I gazed at Liam as he drove, his features seeming so perfect to me now. His hair was messed up, as if he was sliding his fingers through them more than he needed to.

"Liam, is anyone even home?" I blurted concerned.  Both our parents were busy people, always out, but the thing is, I knew how to fend for myself, while Liam would wait for his parents to come home later in the night when his mom would either bring left overs, or cook a small meal.

"No, but I did learn how to cook for myself, Kelsey. If that's what concerns you," he chuckled as he drove.

I looked at him and smiled. That was good to hear.

"Well, still...Come over my house and I'll make you something," I shrugged, I was feeling so depressed lately, but now that I was hanging out with Liam, it seemed to be a better distraction.

Liam turned to me, his warm brown eyes squinting to a smile.

" I haven't been to your house in forever. Do you still  even live in the same place?"  he looked back onto the road. I rolled my eyes.

"Liam, it's been two years, not ten. And yeah, same old, lame-oh," I looked out the window as Liam drove. I smiled as he turned onto the corner of the street, trying to see if he still remembered.

"You should go and audition for X-Factor again in January," I said as I thought.

"Well, Simon did say I should go back in two years, and maybe the guys can go, too. They all have great voices" I turned to him. I could feel how huge my grin was.

He laughed and turned the street, curving right in front of my house.

"Well, I'm surprised you still remembered where I lived," I joked as he parked. We got out as he shrugged embarrassingly.

"How can I forget," he murmured.  I couldn't help but blush as I opened the door.

The smell of food sent me raising my eyebrow, but made my stomach growl. I threw my jacket onto the couch, walking into the kitchen.

Liam stayed behind, looking up around the room, smiling.

"Wow, it looks different, I like it," he set his jacket on the couch, on top of mine.

"Yeah, we remodeled last year," I said.

I smiled, looking at the pot that was on the stove, and frowned at the note on the side.

Made your favorite.  Will be out for the rest of the week,  business meeting. Love you Kels.

-Mom

"What's wrong?" Liam walked to me, and I quickly crumbled the note.

"Nothing. Looks like my mom made italian chicken Alfredo pasta. Is that okay with you?"  I grabbed two plates anyway, Liam will eat mostly anything.

Well, I hope he still does...

I looked up, and found him leaning against the counter top, a smirk on his face.

"What?" I said as I looked around. He laughed through his nose, his cheeks reddening as he gazed down at the food.

"Nothing, I just love Chicken Alfredo Pasta, " he gave this odd tone in his words, sarcastic.

I passed him a plate and we sat on the dining table.

There was this weird silence as we ate.

So, I thought about the last time Liam was over, about two years ago, when he had accidently leaned on the chair after I continuously told him not to, and ended up falling back, spilling his milkshake all over his face.

Priceless.

"What's so funny?" Liam smiled as he finished his food, laying  back comfortably on the chair, making me laugh harder.

"Don't fall back," I looked at him, the smirk on his face reassuring that he remembered.

"Ha, ha, ha. Very funny," he said sarcastically with a smile sitting up straight with a smile as he drank his juice.

"I was only able to smell milkshake for like two days after that, ya know!" he finished with a grin. I stood up and grabbed our plates, but he stopped me.

"Wait, Kelsey,  you barely even touched your food," he rose an eyebrow, the smile gone.

"It's okay, I got full already, " I shrugged,  and he stood up, sitting me back down forcefully, but gently.

"No, eat atleast half of it," he ordered. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Liam,  I served myself a lot already," I whined as I tried to get back up, only to be pushed back down.

"Don't make me pin you down and feed you, because I will," he threatened with a smile, and I rolled my eyes, trying to slide from under his arms.

Before I knew it, Liam had grabbed my mom's excersise jumprope from the side, and wrapped it around me, tying me to the chair.

"Liam!" I yelled in frustration,  though I couldn't help but want to laugh.

"I keep my word, Kels. Now, let me get comfortable..." he smirked as he wrapped his hand around my shoulders, sitting on my lap, but holding most of his own weight.

I laughed so hard at how childish Liam was acting, but I was enjoying it. Before I knew it, Liam used the chance to stick a huge rolled up ball of pasta into my mouth.

"Ohmigod, Liam. I'm going.. I'm going to kill you," I said I tried to chew the food.. I swallowed and he let me drink some of my waterbottle, before spilling some down on my shirt.

I used my free hands to pinch his pants as hard as I could, and he jumped up, roaring in laughter.

"Damn, Kesley. You're fiesty," he looked at me, sighing with a smirk as he just watched me struggle.

He laughed, and I squirmed in attempt to break free, with no good outcome.

"Liam, if you don't let me out-" I threatened with a smile. I couldn't be serious.

He unwrapped the rope in seconds, and pulled me up onto my feet.

"Better watch yourself, little boy," I glared at him with a laugh, imitating a boxer. He threw his head back in laughter.

"Mhm. Ms.4'11" he snickered.

"I'm 5'4 Liam," I said as I threw a light punch to his chest, only for it to hurt me.

"Ow," I blurted, pulling back. Liam fell silent. I looked up at him, his lips curbed in a smile.

"I missed you," he murmured, pulling me in for a hug.

At first, I was taken by surprised, but then the sensation in my stomach grew, and I was content, hugging him back.

"I missed you, too," I smiled.

Then he lifted my chin, and kissed me softly.
