Chapter 27

So we can start it all over again

I was done. I heard my baby girl screaming as I felt my body go soft. The pain was mostly gone and my baby girl was screaming like a healthy girl. I tried raising my head to get a peak at her but my body said no. Liam held my hand as he too looked over to see her. Maddie was filming everything. Elma walked over to us with a screaming bundle of fabric and placed the little creature in my arms. When I held my daughter for the first time I couldn’t help but tear up. I stared at her little head that had barely noticeable curls on it, dark blonde curls. She began calming down and I looked up at Liam. He had tears in his eyes too. He leaned down to place a soft kiss on my lips as he whispered softly.

“I love you.” I could only smile, feeling to exhausted to speak. I looked down at our baby in my arms and Liam stroked her head. Elma cleared her throat and spoke without waiting for us to look at her.

“We need to get her cleaned up and you need to sleep, Rosanna.” She held out her arms and waited until I was ready to let go. I stroked her face softly and then kissed her forehead.

“I love you baby girl.” She had fallen asleep in my arms and as I gave her to Elma she woke up and began screaming again. I felt my heart break as I watched them walking out of the room. Some nurse helped me clean myself since my body was a bit sore and then I got dressed in comfortable clothes, with that I mean my pyjamas. When I was finished all of the boys were in the room along with El. I smiled largely before walking over to her and hugging her tight. She hugged me tightly back, but not to tight because of what I had just done that made me sore. When she let me go Liam put his hand around my waist and helped me over to the bed. He also helped me up onto it and pulled the cover over me. Everyone was looking at me expectantly and I just sighed and felt really tired.

“Okay, you guys know I love you.” They all smiled and nodded. “But can you please get out? I really need to sleep and we will all talk later.” I closed my eyes and leaned back. Liam leaned down and kissed my cheek.

“I will be outside with the guys. Just call me if you need anything.” He whispered softly and kissed my cheek again. I nodded and heard all of them walking out of the room. I felt the painkillers I had been given start to kick in and I drifted into a dreamless state.

When I woke up four hours later I still felt tired but I didn’t mind. Elma was currently checking my vitals and when she noticed I was awake she smiled largely. I smiled back at her and tried sitting up. She however pushed me back down and lifted the bed so that it supported my back.

“You should try to save your powers.” She winked at me and I laughed a little. “How are you feeling?” I thought about it for a second and then sighed.

“Tired. And a little sore. But other then that fine.” She smiled as she wrote down something on my clipboard. She looked up at me and then nodded.

“That’s good. Do you want me to tell Mr. Payne that you are up?” I nodded and she walked out into the hallway. She didn’t go far because she stopped outside the door and spoke to someone next to it. Only seconds later Liam appeared in the doorway and he walked up to me with a big smile on his lips.

“Hello.” I smiled largely and he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on my lips.

“Hi.” I blushed madly and he grabbed my hand. When I looked behind him I saw that Elma was still in the room. She smiled at us and nodded. She does that a lot.

“Would you like me to bring her? So you can see her.” She smiled a sweet smile and I nodded.

“Yes please.” Liam spoke with such a silly voice that Elma rolled her eyes as she walked out of the room. Liam turned back to me and I just smiled. “How are you feeling?”
