How was your New Year's? How was your 2016? Think back to all those good and bad memories that you shared throughout the past year. Think about how you struggled, succeeded, or possibly even excelled in a subject or situation in your life. Have you ever wondered how it is that New Year comes and goes as we just waste our days wallowing in self-pity? Now don't get me wrong, I am not criticizing anyone or degrading them. I am but simply pointing out simple examples about how people in our generation or our lifetime have reacted to this past year. If you think about it closely, you would understand that in the Bible, God says do not complain for He has your problems in His hands. So why must we always badger one another or point out other's flaws? Why must we always judge people before we know them? It is not their fault, it is simply society's. Society's standards today have gone through the roof.

Our expectations constantly point out other's flaws and how we should look like, act like, and be like. It is none other than our brains that is fighting against God-not our bodies. The resolutions we make for our New Year's Day, or New Year as you put it- or just simply things that we want to perfect this upcoming year-but why should we do that if we are already perfect in the Lord's eyes? We should not let others tell us what to look like, act like, or be like. We should not let others degrade us and make us feel bad about ourselves. We are perfect in the Lord's eyes because that is how He views us and that is the most important thing for us to ever know. As New Year comes and goes, remember what the Lord has given you and blessed you with. Remember how you have shared both good and bad memories with others. How you smiled, laughed, and grew within the year. Think about about how much God has sacrificed for us, the people of His nation. Together if we are one, we are stronger, but if we are separate, we are smaller. The Lord has given us this life as a combination of what He feels is right for us. He loves us very much and that is why He gives us these obstacles each and every day. To make a stronger nation, to make us realize how much He loves us. Happy New Years. Earth
