I stayed the night with you. We begged the nurse on duty, and she covered for us the rest of the night. The next morning, I knew it was time. The nurse came to kick me out, and you asked for us to have a minute.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too".
I started crying.
"Remember, you said you'd wait," I said.
"If it takes a thousand years for you to make it where I'll be, I'll wait".
"Kiss me?" I asked.
You did.
It was 3:26 in the afternoon when you left.
That was one month, eight days, eleven hours, and ten minutes ago.
I miss you. I miss your smile, your eyes. Your voice. Especially your voice. I miss your voice telling me it'll be okay. That you love me. Missing you hurts.
I'm sick now too. There's only days keeping us apart.
I used to be scared of getting si- dying. But I'm not anymore. Because I know your waiting for me. We will get to be together forever. Not in the way that most people are, but that's okay. We'll be together in our way.
