Spaces Between Us

you told me
in the booming of night
i need space
so i put a universe between us
-a universe so magnificent with its magenta nebulas waiting to give birth to new stars
a universe so breathtaking with the thought of hundreds of shooting stars harvesting hundreds of wishes-
hoping that in the morning light
you'd call again for me
i believed in you.
it was for just one night, after-all
(such a small sacrifice)

you spoke of nothing
in the silence of the morning
don't you miss me?
there is a universe between us
-a universe so destroyed with its gaseous piles where stars used to confide
a universe so distraught with its black holes collapsing into themselves-
hoping that giving you everything you wanted and
everything I had would be enough
i believed in you.
it was just for every night, after-all
(such a large sacrifice)
