I still don't understand how my eyes can possible see a world without you because I could never begin to imagine one,
I don't understand how my heart hasn't stopped beating from all the pain you've inflicted on me,
I don't understand how a single rain drop doesn't fall from the clouds when there are tears streaming down my face,
I don't understand how my chest feels like it's bleeding when you drove your knife into my back,
I don't understand how my legs manage to support my weight when my knees are weak,
I don't understand how I haven't slept in days but the thought of you doesn't tire me,
I don't understand how my fingers can still feel objects while everything else I feel is numb,
But most of all,
I don't understand how you left me when all I did was ask you to stay.
