Chapter 15

Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.

I'm going to get honest but I really enjoyed Mr Derrek's class. What he says is so fascinating and interesting that I couldn't help but just stare and not take down any notes.

"Alright everybody, homework" He stated loudly. Everybody suddenly moaned in disagreement. "If you want to get a bloody degree and get out of high school then I suggest you all shut your mouth's and write down your homework and stop your moaning. It's due next Monday anyway" He states. I couldn't help but smile at what he said. I noted down the homework on my notepad and closed the book putting it back into my bag. Getting up from my seat I tucked in the chair as everybody smiled at me and walked out of the classroom. I waited for everybody to go so I could talk to Mr Derrek.

"Sir?" I say, he looks up at me and rolls his eyes.

"What do you want? If you're going to sass talk me I suggest you don't otherwise it will be a detention" He said calmly.

"No, I just wanted to apologize for my behaviour. I don't like it when people say stuff about anyone close to me, that's it" He looked at me for a few seconds and then nodded his head slowly.

"Well I'll forgive you this onetime" I gave him a small smile and started walking out of the classroom.

"Miss Evers?" I turned around at his voice and waited for him to speak.

"Was Kelly your mother?" He asked. I slowly nodded my head.

"You look a lot like your mother"

"Thank you" I turned around and quickly walked out of the classroom. Everybody was hanging around their lockers or just talking to their friends. I guess its break time and I still haven't made any friends yet. I look around until I spot Jade. She didn't see me because she was busy smiling and talking to some girls. Looks like Jade has made friends, she was always good at that. I think she felt someone's gaze on her because she looked directly at me, she gave me a wave which I returned and then walked off with her friends. Great where shall I go now? Might as well walk around the school or go to Uncle Landon...no I'll walk around the school. I walked out of the doors and saw everybody minding their own businesses.

"Hey you" I turned around and saw a couple of girls and boys coming towards me. They looked really sophisticated.

"You talking to me?" I asked to all of them. The middle blonde walked up to me first, she had bright green eyes and her blonde hair was in curls while she had on a mini dress which was pink-why am I not surprised?

"Yeah, so you're the new girl then?" She asked.

"Well I'm definitely not the old girl" I replied. She raised her eyebrows and a smirk rose on her lips.

"I like you, exactly our type. Want to hang around with us?" She asked. Too be honest I kind of do because I am here for a fresh start and new friends.

"I guess so, of course if you introduce me to the rest of your friends" She smiled and moved at the side.

"Hey I'm Alexander" The guy with brown/red hair said with a smile, he was cute but not my type. Wait, what would I know about my type. I haven't even had a boyfriend before.

"I'm Amelia, Alex's girlfriend" She says giving me a fake smile. Oh honey you have nothing to worry about, I don't steal people's boyfriends.

"I'm Ruby" Another one said quietly. Her... I think I'm actually going to like, she had bright green big eyes with slick black hair.

"My name's James and Ruby is also my girlfriend" James looked like a joker, I guess with his crazy curls.

"And last of all my name is Leonardo but you can call me Leo and like Sasha I am single" He said smiling at me. Now I guess Leonardo stood out from all of them. He was quiet tall with his brown hair and his shining blue eyes.

"Hey I am so not single right now Leo!" The blonde who I spoke to earlier said, I guess her name is Sasha then.

"Right, so you're seeing someone right now then?" Sasha huffed and walked away angrily. Talk about having a bitch fit. The rest of them walked of after her except Leo. He walked towards me and stood in front of me. I felt intimidated by our height difference.

"New girl I don't know you but I'm going to like you" He said.

"The new girl has a name" I told him while crossing my arms over my chest. He raised his eyebrows as we began walking inside the building of the school.

"Oh really, what's your name beautiful?" He asked. Is he really flirting with me?

"Juliet" I reply back to him.

"Oh then. Can I be your Romeo? We can both end up dying together in love" A smile broke upon my face as I get him a slight push.

"You can die on your own, I don't want to die with you" I said sticking my tongue out. He put a hand on his chest and pretended to look hurt.

"You have hurt my feelings Juliet, how may I redeem myself?" He asks.

"How about not taking the mike out of my name" He looked at me and smiled.

"Mike?"

"Meaning, stop making fun of my name" I tell him. He nods his head. "Deal?"

"Deal"

He put his arm around my shoulder as we both just walk down the hallway.

"It's awesome finally having someone from Britain here, you guys rock" He tells me. Looks like dad was right.

"And you guys suck" I reply back. He laughs at me and starts to mess my hair up. I slapped his hand away and started fixing my hair from the mess he created. "Hey, haven't you heard to never touch a girl's hair-ever" He rolls his eyes at what I say to him.

"Check that guy out, he looks pissed" I looked in the direction Leo was looking in and saw Jackson coming towards me with an angry look on his face. What in the world?! He stopped in front of Leo and looked him dead in the eye.

"Get your hands of her" Jackson says through gritted teeth.

"Jackson he'-

"Dude calm down, are you her boyfriend or something?" Leo asked. Oh great.

"I'm her brother and I would appreciate if you take your hands of her otherwise I'll be glad to do it for you" Leo quickly took his arm of my shoulder with fear.

"Jackson what the hell is the matter with you? He's my new friend!" Jackson rolled his eyes and walked away.

"What just happened?"
