NICOLE's POV

“Nick, you have your own bedroom for a reason,” Joe whined from my doorway. “When was the last time you even slept in your own bed?” I snuggled closer into Nick’s side as he chuckled.

“Me being here helps Nicole sleep,” Nick said as he sat up. I cursed the cold as it invaded my bed. “You’re just jealous that I’m her favorite brother.” I wrapped the covers tighter around myself and tried to go back to sleep.

“Whatever,” Joe said. “Kevin sent me up here to wake you both up. We’re going to be late for school.”

“I don’t want to go to school!” I whined from my spot under the blankets. Nick and Joe both pulled the blankets off me, and I shot up in anger. “Give me back my blanket!”

“No can do little sister,” Joe said with a smirk. Now get dressed and downstairs so we can have some breakfast.” I groaned and stood up from the bed.

“What color are you wearing today?” I asked Nick. Nick was one of those guys who always had his outfit for the next day laid out the night before.

“Blue,” Nick said walking out of the room. “Meet you downstairs for breakfast.”  I sighed as I walked into my closet and tried to pick out something not in blue. My name is Nicole Jonas, and I have three older brothers. The birth order goes Kevin. Then Joe. Then Nick and I. Nick and I are actually fraternal twins so we’re pretty close. I know what you’re thinking, Nick and Nicole? Our parents weren’t very creative with the names, I know. I always try to find out what color Nick is wearing so I don’t end up wearing the same color. I love being a twin, but I also like for people to recognize me as a separate person from Nick. I picked out a lavender top and some old jeans before making my way downstairs to the kitchen.

“Hey Kevin!” I said spotting my brother by the kitchen sink. “What did mom make for breakfast?”

“Morning munchkin,” Kevin said as he rinsed out his cereal bowl. “Mom didn’t make anything. She and dad left early this morning. They left a note.” That was odd. Usually mom as here making us pancakes or some other warm breakfast. I stole a glance at the note.

NOTE:

Kids,

Your father and I had to go take care of some urgent business. I’m sorry I can’t be there to make your breakfast, but there’s some cereal in the cupboard. We’ll be back by the time you kids get out of school. You are to come right home because we need to talk to all four of you about something. It is VERY IMPORTANT so come home right after school.

Love,

Mom & Dad

“Why don’t I smell any delicious pancakes?” Joe whined as he came down the stairs.

“Mom and dad aren’t here Joe,” I replied. “We’re stuck with cereal this morning.” Joe groaned again, but that didn’t stop him from shoveling two bowls of cereal down his throat in an astonishingly short amount of time. “Joey, you ate all the rest of the cereal. Nick and I didn’t even get any yet.”

“You snooze you lose,” Joe replied. I smacked him on the back of the head. Joe has always been like a garbage disposal around food.

“Relax, Cole,” Nick said coming down the stairs. “You and I can have some toast and fruit.” I smiled as Nick prepared breakfast for me. I have to admit that I am quite spoiled by my brothers. They rarely make me lift a finger for anything.

“Finish your toast in the car,” Kevin called out as he grabbed his jacket. “We need to leave now before we’re late. And remember mom and dad want us home right after school so no dilly dallying.”

“Why are you looking at only me? Joe’s late for stuff, too!” I protested.

“Because yesterday it took you half an hour to get from the school parking lot to the front door of the school. You are the queen of being late for class,” Kevin replied.

“I ran into Demi in the parking lot,” I said. “She was having an emotional crisis.”

“She broke a high heel,” Nick said with a laugh. “How is that an emotional crisis?”

“You guys are so annoying,” I whined marching out to the car. “You don’t get girls at all. Ugh. Why did I have to be stuck with brothers?”

[AN: Next chapter we get to run into Selena and Demi! I think I’m going to write this mostly in Nicole’s POV. But if I change POV I will let you know. No one is famous in this, and Frankie doesn’t exist in this story. Sorry Frankie! ]
