Mystery's boots hit the solid ground as she ran quickly and elegantly through the woods. Her red cloak flew behind her and her face was hidden from her hood. It was all silent around her except her footsteps. She then jumped from tree to tree. Even after the past events that happened, she still was saddened. She couldn't help but remember her last memory with those two boys...

Mystery stayed with Luka and Jim also known as Alois, for a while. Even though she was content with being with them, she was still sad and lost. She longed to get out of this village since there was nothing to trigger her memory. She wanted to continue on traveling to different places, even of she got lost.

Mystery got them food whenever she found some. The villagers barely picked on the boys ever since Mystery joined them and Luka and Jim were happy. Mystery always stayed by them. She didn't know what to do, leaving them would make them by betrayed but Mystery felt she needed to go off searching for herself. She could even remember her painful confession.

"Mystery, you will stay with us forever, won't you?" Luka asked smiling along with Jim. Mystery stared at them but then looked down. The boys smiled turned into concerned frowns. "Mystery what's wrong? Aren't you going to stay with us?" Jim asked. "I don't know..." she said quietly. "I want to stay with you, but..." Mystery trailed off and looked out of the town. "I still need to find myself..." Luka and Jim still frowned and were quiet. "I'll tell you what... I'll stay for a few more days and then I'm going to leave and visit other places I haven't been to. And I'll try to come back as soon as possible... Is that alright?" Mystery asked. The boys smiled and nodded. "Yeah! We're fine with it!" Luka smiled widely.

Those few days flew by quickly and now Mystery was saying good bye to them. "Alright you two, take care of each other alright?" Mystery said and the boys smiled. "We will. Come back soon ok?" Jim says and Mystery nodded as she waved and the boys waved back. They both watched Mystery leave as she walked down the road. Mystery worried a bit that the villagers would treat them horribly when they found out she was gone, but she would return soon. She thought she was being selfish, for leaving to her own desire but she needed to know if she had a family, friends, or maybe even a loved one.

After visiting a few places, she didn't really find anything and decided to head back to Jim and Luka's village. She was looking forward to returning and seeing their happy faces including keeping her promise to them for returning. However, once she was near she stopped in the middle of the road. She looked at the village that almost completely burned down. She could really tell it was fire, for it glowed brightly in the night. She expected to hear the screams and cries from the villagers but it was silent except the crackling of the fire. Mystery's sad eyes stared at the village and could only think of Luka and Jim.... she didn't want to admit it to herself but she had thought they were dead like the rest of the villagers... or maybe they escaped somehow...

Either way, Mystery knew she wouldn't see them again. She turned her sight away from the burning town and turned back around on the road and started walking to her next destination...

Mystery now was near the Phantomhive mansion and she swiftly jumped on the side of the wall and reached her bedroom window which was open. She climbed through and softly closed the window and sighed in her dark room that had a candle lit. Mystery looked at the candle in question until she knew why. "So, you finally came back home," she heard Sebastian say. Mystery looked at him and Sebastian hid himself in the darkness of the room, but she could faintly see his crimson eyes looking through her.

Mystery faced away from him and took off her red cloak and neatly folded it. She placed it on her chair and she heard Sebastian walk to her. "My, you seem quiet tonight" Sebastian says but Mystery didn't say anything. "The young master kept wondering where you were and I had to come up with a good excuse." Still Mystery said nothing. Sebastian sighed and looked at her seriously. "Alright... What seems to be bothering you, my love?" he asked.

Mystery then turned fully to him and Sebastian's eyes glued to her dress with blood stains. His eyes narrowed. "It wasn't me..." Mystery said and Sebastian looked up at her. "Claude killed him...." "...Is that what's bothering you?" Sebastian questioned. Sebastian saw Mystery's annoyed glare and couldn't help but smile innocently. "I guess it's not" "Sebastian, I know your hiding something from me..." Mystery said still glaring. Sebastian composed himself knowing Mystery knew about the pact. "Mystery, it's nothing for you to be concerned about-" Sebastian said.

"Yes it is my concern if Ciel is involved in it!" Mystery raised her voice as her eyes glowed. "Tell me, Sebastian. Why did Ciel believe it was Alois that killed our parents? And why was Claude choking me when I was about to tell him the truth?!" Mystery demanded. "I made a pact with Claude. My master's soul became flavorless and he did not remember getting revenge. So Claude and I made it seem like Alois was the one that killed your parents, so I could make my master's soul taste more delicious." Sebastian said and Mystery still glared.

"Sebastian, you're even lucky that I allow only you to eat my brother's soul... now you're risking it..." Mystery said and Sebastian stared at her. "Oh? And what can I do to keep your offer?" Sebastian smirked as he embraced her to him, but Mystery pulled away. "Not that... I'm not in the mood for anything like that..." Mystery said. "Just promise me from now on you have to tell me everything... I'm your.. mate after all." Sebastian only smiled to that. "I can promise you to that. Now please tell me this. I know there's something else bothering you." Sebastian said.

Mystery was quiet as she thought of Luka then Jim. After that Jim actually being Alois, and then Alois covered in blood and dying. Mystery could feel her eyes get watery. "Alois... I heard him call my name out... and he was crying in pain. Sebastian, I remembered meeting him when he was a lot younger and his brother, Luka. I met them when I was 15 I think and I was still human during the time I lost my memory. I stayed and cared for them when the villagers treated them badly. I left for a while to see if I could get closer to gaining my memories back and I promised to return, but once I did... the village was in flames."

Sebastian was quiet the whole time and his expression was unreadable. "I thought they were dead so.. there was no reason why I would stay there. I continued on to traveling. But just a while ago, I found out Alois was one of the boys I cared for and...he died in my arms!" Mystery cried at the last part, ".... He even... He called me Mother..." Sebastian then heard her voice crack. "Why would he call me that...?" "It was because he thought of you as one. You took care of him and his brother like a mother would do." Sebastian then said and he wiped a tear that had crawled down her cheek.

Mystery was now back to being quiet and Sebastian took that as a sign to leave. "I'll leave you alone, Mystery, to calm yourself. And do not hesitate on calling for me. I will always be near and love you, no matter what," Sebastian said taking the candle with him. Mystery turned to say something to Sebastian but he had already left.

Sebastian walked down the dark halls still holding the candle and he replayed what Mystery had said. He hated when she was angry. He hated that she cried. He hated that she was hurt. All of what was going on was too much. Sebastian thought of what she cried for the two boys and then his response. Sebastian couldn't help but softly smile small. "She would make a wonderful mother," Sebastian muttered to himself.

But that happy thought broke when Claude appeared in Sebastian's mind. Sebastian frowned. He knew in order to reach that far, he would need to find a way to get rid of the maid, the triplets, and the annoying spider that blocked their way with its sticky web...
