PiratePunk works can be set in a wide variety of historical eras, ranging from 14BC when the Sea Peoples attacked Egypt to the far future, and tell tales of piracy in space.
However most PiratePunk stories are likely to be set in the 'Golden Age of Piracy' which spanned from the 1650s to the 1730s.
Such stories will include pirates wielding advanced weaponry or perhaps a 'supercharged pirate ship', all inkeeping with the technological level of a given story.
