My head was pounding. I felt like my heart was in my head. I

For a second I forgot where I was, and then it hit me. I was in hell.

I struggled to stand up, my head weighing me down. I slowly looked around. I was in a different room than I was before. This one actually looked like a bedroom. With beige walls and a small bed with a dresser next to it.

I was standing next to a door. I reached for the handle. The door made a click and slowly opened. I peered out. The coast seemed clear.

I opened the door wider. I gradually tip-toed out of the room. On the left of me the hallway was dark, on the right the hallway was light. I decided to go to the bright side.

Cautiously, I made my way toward the light hoping I wasn't dead. I was almost to the beautiful glow when I heard a voice.

"Well, seems like you're in a bit of a pickle." An Irish accent echoed through the hallway. I spun on my heels getting ready to yell at Niall for not coming sooner. But no one was there. 'Great, I'm hearing voices now.' I thought to myself.

"No you haven't gone crazy, yet." The voice chuckled.

"Where are you and how come you can read my thoughts?" I spoke loudly.

"Quiet down, will you? I'm not physically with you, but mentally."

"So what, now you're my spirit guide?" I scoffed, crossing my arms.

"You don't have to speak out loud, I can read your thoughts. And to answer your question I've always been your spirit guide. Sort of. Now let's get you out of here."

'Hold up. Why did I pass out earlier?' I speculated.

"Turns out your little stalker has a sister! She hit you with a pan and dragged you to the guest room. She's only 13, so it must have been hard dragging your fat bottom." I could tell he had a smirk planted on his face right about now.

'Don't you mean my fit ass? Oops! Is that word forbidden among the angels?' I teased.

"No, I can say it all I want. Ass ass ass ass ass ass. Happy?" I knew he was pouting.

'Very. Now back to the subject at hand. Why did she hit me?' I was very curious as of why a 13 year old girl would hit me with a frying pan. I knew she was Jim's sister, but she didn't find it the least bit odd that her brother was harboring a 17 year old girl against her will?

"He told her that you were insane and he was helping you with your problems. He also told her that you needed to stay here no matter what."

'What a creepo." I thought, disgusted. 'But still she didn't find it weird?'

"She probably did but she looks up to her brother. She believes everything that comes out of his mouth." He sighed.

'Poor thing. Do they have parents? Also, how do I escape?' This place was starting to give me chills.

"They did. Their dad ditched them when Jim was 6 and their mom is an alcoholic that was dangerous. She's been in a program for 3 years. The front door is straight ahead. Jim is still locked in his bizarre room. Luckily, his sister doesn't know about it, and she is in her room watching T.V.."

'How do you know so much about what they're doing?' I pondered.

"I can see what's going on around you. Sort of like Google Earth where you can zoom in and out of a certain spot except it's live." He answered matter-o-factly.

'That's really cool. Now time to leave!' I needed to get out of that place.

"Oh yeah. Just walk to the door without making too much noise."

I shuffled over to the front door, making sure my feet made as little noise as possible. When I finally made it I let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding. My hand reached for the door knob and pulled the door. It didn't budge. I wanted to scream. Scream in frustration. Scream in disappointment. Scream in anger.

"Try unlocking it first." Niall's voice startled me.

'Oh right' I muttered in my brain. I was an idiot. I turned the lock then tried the door knob again. The door swung open effortlessly. I sighed in relief. 'Thanks.'

"No problem. Now let's get out of here before his sister leaves her room."

I lunged out of the house and had the urge to slam the door. Instead, I eased the door shut and took off running. I didn't know where I was. I didn't know where I was going. What I did know was that I was getting out of that hellhole.

*What did you think? I know it's been months! I also know this is super short and does not make up for disappearing for months. I apologize. I love everyone who is still sticking by me. If anyone has any ideas or critique, please please tell me. I want to become a skilled writer!* I will also be going back and fixing some of my earlier chapters... I realize now they weren't all that great.
