The Day After I Killed Myself

25 5 2

The day after I killed myself
I walked down the stairs
I called out to my family,
But it was like I wasn't even there

The day after I killed myself
I called the dog to play
She went out to the yard,
And she walked the other way

The day after I killed myself
I went to see my boyfriend
He was sitting there,
Wanting it to end

The day after I killed myself
I was full of sorrow
I had all that time
Now there's none to borrow
I can't take it back
So my loved ones won't crack

The day after I killed myself
I wished I was still here
Everyone would be happy,
Smiling ear to ear

Author's note: I know this poem is really sad, but I wrote it for a reason. I wrote it because suicide doesn't affect just you, it affects your friends, family and even your pets. Don't give up on life, you are worth everything. Live each day with love and appreciate the life you were given.
