If your friend tells you a secret, then keep that secret. Don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend, Mom, dad, dog, cat, or your goldfish. Your friend trusted you, and if you tell that secret you are potentially breaking that trust.
Secrets stay between the two of you. Especially if it's something that will get them in trouble with their parents.
Don't go to your friends house and say "don't you like the same gender?" If they aren't out to their family then don't say that in front of them. You could be putting your friend in danger. This goes for any situation. Don't ask them in front of their family why they are dressed like a girl when they said they're a boy or vice versa if their family doesn't know.
Maybe they didn't tell them because their family is against that life style. You never know. It is your job to keep your friends safe.
