Chapter 11

° Chapter eleven °

"Enrique!! Enrique!! " the voice of a guy said but still he's just starring into the air, "Hoy! Enrique!" still nothing, then he see a finger snap two times and he's back to the reality. "There we go." said the guy, its their director. He look around and forgot he was filming a teleserye and ended up daydreaming, "Okay ka lang ba?" ask by the director, he look at him as if its the first time they meet, he nod his head. The director give out a breath and said, "Okay let's take a break. Someone is not feeling well." pertaining to Enrique. They're at St. James college, having some shooting for his upcoming teleserye. He enter their dressing room and seat at one of the chairs. Its been two weeks since he and mae saw each other, two weeks since they talked, two weeks since Mae and that player met. He's worried that she's going out w/ him because of her status at twitter last night saying 'thank you for the night ♥ L' , he is definitely jealous and he accept that feeling, the only thing he can't accept is that he's not w/ her and she is w/ that player. He is so deep in his thoughts that he didn't notice Javy coming in. "Bro what happened? Bakit ka nablanko?" his brother ask him, he brush his hair all the way down to the back of his neck, "I don't know bro. Baka pagod lang." he stated, it was one-thirty in the morning, "Don't worry. Isang scene na lang to." said by khalil who is eavesdropping beside them, he just give them a smile. After two takes of the last scene, the actors w/ the staffs pack-up. Quen is putting all of his clothes in his bag when one of his perfume fall and roll towards the door, he let out a groan and when he turn around someone already pick it up and handed it to him. A smile automatically paint at his face, it was Mae. She's smiling at him, "Ingatan mo mga gamit mo." she reminded him. He don't know what to say, he's speechless. "Ui ! May dumi ba sa mukha ko?" She ask him while touching her face, she got no respond, he's just starring at her. Mae is curious and concern at the same time, he doesn't do this. She touch her forehead and neck, "Are you sick?" she ask, then he flinched. He blink and said, "Uhh yeah !! I'm fine." she help him with his things and head out of the room. "Why are you by the way? gabi na ah." Quen ask her, "Wala lang. Parang ayaw mo ko makita ah." she said, "Ui hindi naman. I'm just not use to see you here, lalu na pag shooting." he stated. "Nag visit lang. tsaka miss ko na bestfriend ko." she said then put her arm at his waist, he warm feeling rise up to his cheeks, "dami na kong utang sainyo eh. So I'll stay with guys for a while." she add up. He look at her, "Really? till when?" he ask, "Hmmm today is Wednesday, maybe till Saturday." she said while following his steps so they will walk in the same phase. He spin around and face her, "Talaga?! Yess! " then jump around. "Wala rin kasi sila Mama. Punta daw sila sa lolo sa cavite, baka sumunod na lang ako." she explain whie looking at her bestfriend who is like a the march hare for awhile. They arrive at his car, some of his fans are there waiting for him. "Enrique!!" one of the girl shouted causing the others follow her gaze and see him arrive. They run to him, Mae avoid them and head to his car. She wait for him inside, after almost thirty minutes he get in and they drive off.

Mae put her bag down at one of the couch at the rec. room. Quen appear from behind with some milk and cookies. He change into his sleeping attire. "Soya?" she ask pointing at the milks, "Ofcourse Mae. I will never forget that." he said w/ a chuckle. "Okay, I'll just go and change." she said then grab her clothes. He put the tray down at the table and sit down. Mae's phone suddenly ring, she received a message, he take a peek and see its from Leo, saying "Hey ! Just got home. Sorry for no replies, mahina signal sa zambales. Hope you had fun. See you on Tuesday. Good night :*" , his eyes became big at the last part, 'Yabang nito ah.' he said in his mind, then he hear the door open, he put down her phone and sit back. He smile when he see her, 'she look cute' he said in his mind, she's wearing a black pair of pj with star prints. 'Star!' he rememeber the necklace, so when she sit down across him, he look at her neck, the necklace is still there. "I think you have a message, tumunog kasi." Quen said then give Mae her phone, she's drying her hair. She look at it and a small smile appear on her face, he see it and kinda panic, "Mukhang masaya ka ah. Sino yan?" he suddenly ask, she typed her reply and answer, "Just a friend." . 'Just a friend? Just friend?' he yell in his mind, if he's just a friend why is she not telling it to her. Maybe they are more than that, he shake his head and forget that. No, Mae is not like that, she will tell me about that guy, eventually. Enrique stop thinking and lay down on his sleeping bag, its three am already, then there's a knock on the door, mae open it and see Javy,Kath,Symon and his girlfriend Stacy. All of them are wearing their panjamas, they are ready for the sleepover. The girls stay at the left side, the boys at the right side. They are playing twister by pair, its Quen and Mae turn. After few spins, she is under him, his arm beside her waist, her left foot beside his right, javy spin the circle and quen must put his right foot beside his arm, he know that when he do it there is a big chance he will fall down, but still he do it and yes, he fall down on top of her. "Yeaaah!" javy and kath cheer because they won. Mae turn her head and see face to face with Enrique, his hazelnut brown eye are already starring at hers. She push her away, "Alis ang bigat mo." she said then he stand up. Next thing they play is truth and dare using a bottle, they can't really play the dare part because they can't make noises so they just play truth. After how manh rounds, the bottle point at Mae, Kath will ask her a question, "Okay Mae. Last time we talked, you were happy, so my question, Is there someone in your life that makes you happy?" . Enrique quickly look at her, she's looking at Kath witj big eyes, Javy is looking at his brother knowing what he feels right now. Mae give out a sigh and said "Yes!!" the two girls shriek a little, "Sinoo?" stacy ask, "Nah ah ! One question per round." mae said to her then laugh. Enrique look down, javy is still starring at him. Quen already knows who Mae was pertaining to. After few rounds, the bottle points at Quen and Stacy will ask him the question. All of them look at him, even Mae. "Okay Quenito, the other you post at twitter a status saying 'Inlove with her' but erased it immediately, my question, who is her? please state her full name." stacy ask him perfectly. The twoo boys look at him, they know who that girl is, they know that she's in here, playing with them. "Ang daya mo ah. Hindi ko nakita yung post na yun." Mae said to him, "kasi nga binura agad. sinu ba yun?" stacy ask again, Javy shake his head a little signaling him 'No'. Enrique look at them then to Mae last, he stare at those darkbrown eyes. He open his mouth and about to answer when someone open the door, its their mother. "Guys, its morning na. You should rest." she said, they look at the clock, its seven am already and they yawn. They lay down to their sleeping bags and sleep. Mae is now laying down, Quen lay beside her, there's silence then she ask, "Can I still know her? The girl you are inlove with? " without making any eye contact. She is jealous, she love him but he can't see it. She wants him to know but she don't know how. He is the reason why she is happy also the reason why she is sad because he love someone else. She is waiting for his answer, she is sleepy, she can feel her eyes close. "You really want to know?" he ask, he got no response, he turn around and see she's fast asleep. He smile and said, "its you. I love you. Hope you're feeling the same. " then he brush the hair away her face and kiss her on the forehead and close his eyes.

Sunday

They just got home from church. Javy treat his family along w/ Kath and Mae at Yakimix, its a japanese eat-all-you can restaurant. They really love to eat here, Mae loves sushi so is Enrique. After five rounds of full plate with desserts, they are full. They walk at the sea side and see a ride, its like the anchors away from enchanted kingdom, only smaller. "Come on! let's ride!" amdi said running at the booth, "I don't know, We just finished our lunch and so full." Enriqie explained hoping they will change their mind but they ignore him and buy tickets. There were only few customers so they immidiately got good seats. They seat at the very end, "I'm not sure about this." Enrique said standing infront of them, "Don't be baby. Umupo ka na." Mae said, he let out a sigh and sit beside her. He's between Mae and Andi, the boat give out a loud sound and it started to sway. After a few minutes, it sway very hard that when you look up you feel that you can touch the sky and when you look down its like you are falling from a high building and gives you this weird feeling at the stomach. The girls scream, but not in a fear way but in a enjoying way. They even raise their hands. Quen close his eyes everytime it comes down. Mae notice it so when it go down she grab his hand and raise it up but he immediately put it down, "Are you out of your mind?!" he yell, she just grin at him, "Just trust me!" she yell back, he stare at her for few seconds then grip her hand and they both raise it. At first, he wants to put it down but in the end he enjoys it till the ride stops. It let out another sound signaling its slowing down, then it stop. They all go down, Kath and Andi feel dizzy, "You guys okay?" their mom ask, Andi shake her head w/ her hand on her mouth. "Oh dear! Tara na. Mukhang masama pakiramdam nyo." their mom said and they all nod. When they where in the car, everybody is quiet. "I warned you but you didnt listen." Quen said proudly, "Oh do shut up! " the three of them said together. Mae is just looking at the window, "Mae are you okay?" javy ask, "Uhh yeah. Masakit lang ulo ko." she said smiling, then look at the driver, "Kuya Nathan, paki baba na lang po ako sa may 7 11." they all look at you, "Why? Maaga pa." Quen said, before she could speak Javy said, "Bro baka masama pakiramdam nya." mae just nod, "Hatid ka na namin sa bahay nyo." their mother suggested. They reach her home and said goodby to them, "You sure you can do this? Hindi pa sila nakaka uwi di ba?" Quen said worriedly, she pat his shoulder and said, "Okay lang ako. Maya maya uuwi na sila." then close the door. She wave at them till the car is no longer in sight. She go inside and close the door. She sit down, she is not okay. Her head is pounding, like someone is hammering it. She brush her hair, nearly crying because of the pain. Next thing she see is darkness.

Javy's phone ring just after he change his clothes, "Hello?" he ask, the number is not familiar, "Who is this?" he add. A guy's voice talk, he's very worried and panicking, "Javy?! Its Daryl." . Javy's eyes became wide and the others notice it, it was Mae's brother. He know he will not contact him unless its important. "Bakit?! Anu nangyari?" Javy ask, Quen run to his brother, "Anu un? Bakit? sinu yan?" he ask starting to get worried. Javy ignore his questions, "Saan? Sige pupunta na kami." then he hung up. He look at them, his face is a little pale, he look at them, their faces are painted w/ sadness and fear. "That was Daryl." he manage to tell them. "What? why? What happened to Mae?" Quen ask his brother, you can feel the concern at worry in his voice. Javy can't speak, Quen grab his brother by the arm, "Javy what happened?". Javy look at them, "Si Mae..." he stop, all of them are listening carefully, "Si Mae passed out. Her family found her on the floor. Nasa hospital siya ngayon." , Enrique let go of his brother and run out.
