Chapter Five: Terrors Take Off

Lottie's Point of View

"Do you think there's going to be a war, Dad?" I asked Lupin quietly at breakfast. It was 1st September, and today we was returning to Hogwarts. Alex had changed her hair a ... lovely lime green for the occasion, with her sister contrasting with a bleach blonde colour. Lupin looked at me awkwardly,

"It sort of ... feels like it did last time." He nodded. I grimaced at my cereal when he said that,

"Are we going to die?" I asked him stupidly,

"Not yet, Lottie." He bit into a piece of toast as Alex hopped into the room,

"Twin extraordinaries require Miss Lupin!" She grinned then rolled her eyes,

"I'm eating." I held up my spoon,

"Well that's not my problem. That wasn't in my job description." She huffed, "Where's the ... you know whats in ... you know where?"

"Oh! You mean the snack boxes in my trunk?" I asked her. Alex smacked her forehead and quickly apparated out of the room,

"You so did that on purpose!" Lupin laughed. I held up my hands and spoon innocently,

"You got me!"

"You must be joking me." I whispered discreetly to myself as well as Alex. We both watched a shaggy, black dog pass us on King's Cross station bridge. There was a huge group of us walking through the station. Me, Alex, Fred, George, Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny with trolleys pushing trunks, owls and a cat then Lupin, Moody, Tonks, Mr and Mrs Weasley and now--

"Padfoot! Are you barking mad?!" Moody snapped as the dog passed him, barking once at Harry. I rolled my eyes,

"Suck up." Alex laughed quietly. The twelve of us were then stuck waiting whilst Harry and Sirius chatting in a waiting room at the foot of the bridge,

"Write, won't you?" Lupin and Tonks said together. They looked at each other awkwardly, like they really didn't want that to happen. I slowly turned to Alex. She was grinning like a cheshire cat,

"Coooourse." She nodded. I nodded in agreement. Lupin and Tonks both looked like they wanted to say something else, but both decided against it.

"Be careful!" Mrs Weasley shouted at us at the train began to pull out of the station. We waved to the remaining Order members which were stood on Platform 9 3/4, then flopped into our seats. George was next to me, who was opposite Fred, who was next to Alex, who was opposite me, who was next to George,

"Exploding snap?" Fred asked casually,

"No, actually." I said, "I've got an awful feeling we should be somewhere and we're actually not there."

"Alex! Lottie!" Hermione stuck her head into our compartment, "Are you coming to the prefect meeting or not?"

"Shit!" Alex scrambled over Fred to get out of the compartment,

"Told you so." I got up from my seat and followed Alex, Hermione and Ron down the train,

"So what happens when we get there?"

"How do you expect me to know, Ronald?" Hermione snapped irritably at Ron's question. He pulled a face once her back was turned,

"They just talk to you, don't they?"
