Chapter One: Gryffindor House Siblings-a

Lottie's Point of View

"Don't you worry, don't you worry brown-ie. See my tummy's gonna lo-ove yooou. Don't you worry, don't you worry noooow, yeeeeeeeeah." I serenaded to the inanimate snack in my hand, then attempted to get the swing going once more and took a bite out of the brownie. Today is the 22nd August, hooray for my 17th birthday! Hooray!

"More muggle music?" Harry gave me a look that disapproving but impressed,

"Have you ever heard of it before? No. This is the nineties, I made that tune myself." I rolled my eyes and continued to push myself back and forth on the swing. It is so hot, it's unbelievable. I mean, I'm not one to not be wearing much clothing, but even I'd been reduced to an aqua blue strap vest and white shorts I was however constantly pulling down to cover as much of the top of my legs as possible, "Has George and Hermione and that wrote to you?"

"Yeah, course they have!" I answered Harry, "Fred and Alex have too, if thats what 'and that' was implying."

"Well, have they seemed ... Off with you?"

"Nope." I answered, maybe too quickly. Harry eyed me suspiciously, so I created a diversion by using my foot to throw the flipflop hanging off of my right foot across the park. It worked well,

"That was stupid." Harry muttered. I laughed as I jumped off the swing gracefully and skipped to retrieve my shoe. The dry grass felt like sandpaper to my foot. Every plant was turning from green to yellow from the extreme drought that had recently hit. There hadn't being rain the whole holiday, it had just being baking hot sunshine. I'd spent most of my holiday with Lupin, Sirius and the other Weasley's in London at 12 Grimmauld Place, the new headquarters for The ... The ...

"OI! POTTER!" A yell sounded through the park. I rolled my eyes as I sat back down on the swing. Dudley along with four others were walking towards Harry and I, laughing about something,

"Beat up another ten year old?" Harry said to Dudley casually,

"What do you mean another?"

"This one deserved it." Dudley muttered. I stared at Harry, mortified that he was acting so casually as he discussed his cousin terrorising smaller children,

"Five against one, eh?" Harry titled his chin up a little, "Brave."

"You're one to talk! Moaning in your sleep, least I'm not afraid of my pillow!"

"Dudley, get lost and leave H alone." I shook my head at him,

"Oooooooooooooh!"

"Lot, don't re--"

"Don't kill Cedric." Dudley continued to taunt Harry, "Who's Cedric? Your boyfriend?" Dudley's friends sniggered,

"Alright you, pack up now or I'll do something about you if he's stupid enough to sit there." I spoke casually and swung backwards and forwards slowly,

"Ooo--"

"And you lot," I pointed to the crowd of four boys standing behind Dudley, "Shut it."

"'Fraid Potter? Need her to fight your battles?" Dudley took a step nearer to Harry, who sat there like a fool letting him get away with it, "She instead of your mum? Where is your mum?"

"Don't you--" I started. I saw Harry's eyes gain a dark look about them underneath his glasses,

"Eh, Potter? Where is she? Is she dead?"
