The next morning I checked my fb. There were 3 notifications.

Omllllllllllllllll, I swallowed my fear and clicked on the photo. It was the photo of us at the Easter show, along with a caption,

So a few months ago, I met this girl, she was best friends with one of my first cousins. Anyways, this girl... she was something, I saw it as soon as I took one look at her, but she didn't take much notice of me. Ever since that afternoon, we've been talking on and off for the past four months. And then I see her at the Easter show, we were alone. We went on almost every single ride and I was aiming to ask her out but I was too p*ssy to so I waited for the right time. Then last night whilst we were feasting off at kfc, I finally had the courage to admit I had a crush on her. Of course she admitted she liked me back. But I think I took her by surprise because she felt awkward. Anyways, I was leaning in for a kiss when she rejected me and made us both power walk out of KFC. For her, I stopped drinking / smoking and even tried my best to stay out of shit. Sorry to my brothers, I won't leave the lifestyle but it's not my only life anymore.  A few hours ago I asked her out and thankfully she accepted. So I just want to say Kaea Mclean, your shy, awkward, facials are always on point, your tiny but your beautiful, have an amazing smile and all mine. I thank God for giving me someone like you. Love you  x

The paragraph made my heart melt into a million pieces, with tears of joy coming down my cheeks. I sent a quick prayer to God, thanking him for blessing me with a boy so willing to love me.

I walked out of my room and to the kitchen. I see that there is quite a bit of noise. It wasn't until I had fully reached the dinning table that I saw our unexpected guests. It was Mon and her mum, Sina.

"Your up" My mum smiled.

"Good morning guys" I smiled trying to fix up my appearance as I took a seat on the already set up place.

 "So Ka-"

"Yes mum I am going out with Trey, and yes Aunty Sina I am aware that he is Tongan and has five million cousins"

"Very funny, Kaea. You know Trey comes from a family who could barely provide food. We do not question what he does to get by. Trey is my nephew and you are already considered family. I wish the best for you both" She came and kissed me on the cheek.
