A deer appeared in front of Sam and Kurt on their hunting expedition. Kurt shot at it, and was forced to use two arrows to take it down, but take it down, he did. They now had food. They started a small fire to cook it on, then ran as soon as it was done. They found a safer spot to eat.
Nightfall was quickly coming upon the tributes, and so far, nothing had happened that day. The audience was soon going to get bored with it. Many of the 12 remaining knew this, and so braced themselves for what was surely going to happen next. Something big was in store, in order to boost the ratings and keep the Capitol happy.
But for now, all was silent. The Careers huddled around their supplies. Dalilah, Kloie and Stella found a new tree. Kurt and Sam returned to their cave. Destiny found a spot secluded in the mountains. Maggie, still unsure of what to do with herself, found a nice space in the brush.
