As I sat and prayed again for the millionth time holding into Mahaganys hand for the millionth time. I felt life coming from her hand while I prayed I lifted my head and heard her groan. My heart stopped and I stood up and She opened her eyes for the first time in now over three months. She laid still unresponsive and then her eyes traveled to me and said
"August?"
My heart dropped in my stomach, I just broke down and fell on my knees while holding onto her hand and all of a sudden the entire family came in and we all just cried together, knowing she was going to stay alive, she chose to stay alive, for the world, for the kids, for the family....for me.
