Reyna fumbled for the paper. The banging at the door refused to stop. The shouting seemed to grow louder. Her heart raced. Fear rushed through her veins. She grabbed the paper and pen.
"Open up!" The voice came from the door. Reyna's heart threatened to stop. Her mind went on overdrive, trying to remember the code without writing it out.
"I'm coming in!" the voice snarled. Reyna finally remembered the right numbers. She scribbled down on to the paper.
11 9 4 14 1 16 16 5 4.
The door flew open. Reyna stood up, her sword drawn. A sharp pain erupted in her shoulder, and she collapsed. The world at first spun, then faded into darkness.
