The War begins

Its has been a few days since the incident on Sabaody Archipelago and all the marines are getting ready for the war.

Almost all the important people were here in the large meeting room at Marineford. Sengoku, the Fleet Admiral, took the head seat, Aokiji, Akainu, Kizaru, the three Admirals sat near the front, then the vice admirals filled up most of the seats, then the Rear Admirals, Commodores and then Captains, the remaining ranks stood behind them, crowding up the room while Shiki preferred to lean beside the exit, her scythe against her shoulder with her arms crossed.

A bored look on her face. 

The only one that were not in the room were the seven Shichibukai, but they didn't need to be here at the meeting, they would have received a letter about this and will be arriving here shortly for the war.

Shiki stared blankly as Sengoku discussed the details of their up and coming war they were initiating, going over battle tactics and placements. The whole thing was going to be recorded live for the public to watch.

Shiki didn't understand why they had to put on a show and make a big deal. All this just for one pirate? She didn't understand, they were to execute this pirate named Fire Fist Ace, apparently a big named pirate. Personally, Shiki didn't cared whether or not some pirate were to be executed or not, but orders were orders and she would follow it.

When the meeting came to a close, Shiki blinked, looking up just as Sengoku said "Dismissed." it seemed she zoned out and missed out the details, but that didn't matter, she pushed off the wall and was the first one to leave, going back to her squad to debrief them what they had to do for the war.

After debriefing her man about the war in a few words like "Don't die." her marines soldiers all looked prepared, some were nervous and others excited, especially Oni, he was just excited to finally be serving for the sake of justice.

With the war starting at 3pm, her men all made sure their weapons were either sharpened or fully loaded and soon left to take their positions on the soon to be bloody battlefield. Leo was the last to leave, glancing at his Vice Admiral who seemed calm about all this, for some reason he had a bad feeling.

"Shiki-chujo, you coming?" he asked, waiting patiently for her answer.

"Ah." she replied, taking her scythe in hand, walking after Leo at her own pace.

Leo couldn't help but think something will change in this war.

The preparation on Marineford was a sight to see, almost everybody was here, the Fleet Admiral, Admirals, Vice Admirals, Commodores, Lieutenants, Captains, soldiers, the Seven Shichibukai, executioners and of course, Portgas D. Ace.

Leo felt a bit overwhelmed, he would be fighting alongside very powerful people, and marines with devil fruit powers. He couldn't believe that all this was for one pirate, even Gold Roger wasn't this extravagant!

Looking around, he searched the blue and white clothing for his superior and found her just a few feet away from him, she was standing with the other Vice Admiral, wearing the Marine coats over their shoulders. He couldn't help but smile weakly at her attire, all the others were wearing a suit and tie but she was dressed in black hakama pants and a kimono based black shirt. The thought of maybe she didn't care to follow the trend or that she didn't know came to mind, calming down his racing heart.
