Shikamaru one shot ~ Kitty Kink

I laughed and had to stifle a giggle as Naruto raged about this jutsu not working.
"What's it even supposed to do exactly?" I asked crouching down in front of him and studying the old scroll of Jiraya's.
"Not sure exactly." He responded.
"And so how exactly are you supposed to be able to do it correctly then? And how do you know it won't blow you up?" I asked him. Shikamaru was sitting near him with his own pile of scrolls.
"That's why we're testing them out here at the training ground." Said Naruto as he concentrated on the scroll.
"But why are you guys-"
"Granny Tsunade asked me to find out what these different Jutsus did. Seeing as how Naruto was his student it's only fitting he be the one to do it." Stated Shikamaru as I eyed the dubious looking scroll in front of him.
"So you're working on these..." I trailed crouching down and resting my chin on my knees as I watched him practice the hand signs for the jutsu.
"I offered to help since there was so much plus with my busted leg I'm not very useful at construction and since id had some free time I thought I'd help." He shrugged. I could see it in his eyes that his small injury from his last mission wasn't the only reason for helping. He had a look of kindred pain in his eyes. He knew what it was like to lose your sensei. He was making sure Naruto wasn't suffering through going through his masters old scrolls by himself because he was worried about him falling back into that black hole of pain again.
"Thank you Shikamaru." I said gently and quietly as he made a intricate looking weapon appear from the scroll. He stopped examining it to look at me in surprise.
"What?"
"Nothing, nothing at all." I laughed standing up.
"Hey Naruto would you like another hand since there's so much to-"
"AHA! I've got it! Tiger boar snake are the last three hand signs! Alright let's go!" Naruto sped through the hand signs before making the sign of the snake and then making a shoving motion away from his chest. A bolt of white appeared to be lightning sprung from his finger tips and hit me dead on in the chest right over my heart.
The shriek that left my mouth drowned out the sound of Shikamaru screaming my name. However I didn't feel the pain that ran through my entire body for very long, or the smell of burnt material because the world quickly turned black.

"..is she ok?"

"...it hit her right over her heart..."

"...when she wakes up..."

"...What were you thinking trying out a unknown jutsu like that..."

"...how she'll react..."

"...Anyone told Kakashi yet?"

"...Painful..."

The dull murmur of voices around me was the first thing that registered. The second was that they belonged to my friends, the third, well that was the distinct smell of a hospital. The fourth thing that hit me I wished hadnt. My entire body ached from head to toe. Especially my chest over my heart, my head and for some reason my tailbone region.

"O-owww." So i could talk again? My eyes fluttered open and I found myself squinting in the bright light of the room.

"Kimiko!"

"Back! Get back! ive her space!" Granny Tsunade was leaning over me a scowl angled towards the other people crowded around the bed.

"Lady Tsunade..." I murmured. Out of instinct I tried to sit up.

"Relax youre not in trouble, I'm not here to scold you, although there is someone else..." her eyes flitted towards one of the figures at the end of my bed.
