CHAPTER 20

MARGARETH

"Please, Mom. Do me a favor." He said.

"Oh, sure. Anything."

"About the heart transplant. Please tell Tita Althea to keep it secret. Please tell Her not to tell Allian about it. Please.." He pleaded.

I pause for a while and let his words processed in my mind before I answered "Y-yes. I'll tell Her to keep it secret." It took a while for me to get his point but maybe he has a good reason why he wants it as it is.

"Thanks, mom." He smiled faintly before he continues "..and can I ask one more?"

"What is it?" This really breaks me little by little.

"It's about the engagement of Allian and-" I know where it will go so i cut him.

"Darling, if you're going to tell me that you are 'firmly' disagree with that, I understand and I respect your opinion. But I just want to tell and clear things to you that our decision is final even if you're against it." I said.

"Yes, Ma. I understand your point and believe me that I accept your decision. But this is not about that. I-I just want to ask you to please don't tell Allian about me and Her soon-to-be Husband."

"Okay, okay.. But why?"

"Just.." he took a deep breath "..don't"

I can feel his pain. So I didn't ask him any further and hold his hand instead.

"One more thing, Mom"

"What is it?"

"Can you hold me as I go? Please don't let go. I want to feel you until my last second."

With those word,my tears automatically fell.

"S-sure." I hold him as tight as I can, showing that I am with him until the end. "Always remember son that I love you so much. I will miss you.. go, rest and we'll see each other again, Ryuzaki."

Then my tears fell down.

Those memories are still fresh in my mind.

Hindi ko mapigilang hindi maalala yung pangyayaring yun..

Matagal ko ding inilihim kay Althea at Alliah ang tungkol kay Drake at Ryuzaki.

It's easy dahil hindi naman lumaki sa'kin si Ryuzaki. Sa Japan s'ya lumaki kasama ang Dad niya at sa'kin naman lumaki si Drake, sa Canada kami pansamantalang tumira habang nasa Japan ang Mag-Ama para ayusin ang company doon.

Dahil din doon, mag kahiwalay lumaki sina Drake at Ryuzaki kaya naman magkalayo ang loob ng dalawang kambal.

Yes, they are twins but not identical.

5 years lang namalagi sina Ryuzaki at ang asawa ko sa Japan dahil mabilis nitong naayos ang business namin doon at umuwi na din sila agad sa Pilipinas

Samantalang 11 years kaming namalagi sa Canada at doon na nagkaisip si Drake. Matagal kasing nagpagaling si Dad kaya naman napatagal kami at noong 11th birthday ng nila, may isang pakiusap si Dad na nagpagulo sa sitwasyon naming lahat.

Ipinagkasundo niya ang anak ko at anak ni Althea na si Alliah. Matalik na magkaibigan si Dad at ang Dad ni Althea na si Tito Edgardo.

Dapat sana kaming dalawa ni Althea ang ipagkakasundo kaso dalawa kaming babae kaya napasa kay Alliah at sa isa sa kambal ko ang arrange marriage.
