On July 27, 1985, on a rainy lustrous day, Marla, Maverine, Lynn and Gwynn were in Talladega hanging out. Marla saw Terry Labonte shaving his mustache and Maverine saw Clark Dwyer who has an autograph session with the Sunny King staff people. Buddy Arrington saw Marla talking to Terry, and she almost had a heart attack.
In October, Maverine's sister Patty is in Charlotte with her good friend Anna Kellen. Phil Parsons grabs a knife to kill Anna, and never reveals the truth until March 1990. Anna survives ferociously. The next week, Maverine, Marla, Lynn and Gwynn flies to North Carolina about having a good time at the bar and grill. At the private room, they were watching a movie, and Terry came by to visit Marla.
