82: Reminiscence

It lingers..
Along the shores
Of the pasts
To the silly games
We played before and
Telling stories to the wind
Childhood days are
A long forgotten
By time that's unforgiving
Like a fleeting breeze
So is growing up away
That's a natural order of life.

Those childish bickerings and
Sweaty afternoons from
Running wild and free
In the grassroots filled
With good innocent
Friendships that's
Purely sought and tested
Now is a history
I've kept in my heart
Written through the
Summer time passes
I've kept in my
Dusty old notebook
Like a treasure
That's worth riches
So is the priceless days
Of when I was a child.

Yet I see myself
sometimes often longing
To the times that
can never go back again
To the footprints
Of our measly feets
To the muddy scenes
Of our messy hands
That's played outside
The heat of the sun
And to the rains
Of barefoot chase
To the laughters
and playful tears
To our innocence
that has sadly aged ;

As I glimpse this
Olden pictures
And familiar frames
To my buddies
And childhood friends
That's near and
Miles and miles away
From where I am now...

— Thanks for the memories!
