40: On This " Day "

Once a year passed ,
I reckoned with it but can't
Seems sort of special I guess ,
Seems justified
Being a kid before makes me excited ,
But now it's rather ordinary
Though.. I'm thankful ,
Always grateful I'm alive
For another year given ,
For another chapter ends and begins
Lately.. life twisted ,
It's making me dizzy
Hit rock-bottomed ,
Stumbled and all
Been through life and death ,
But my body still beats
Despite my cynical vibes ,
I'm still in the game
But like others ,
This " day " is my territory
I'm the king ,
Sadly.. it's just irony facades.
The celebrations with them ,
That time to spend
I'll be willing ,
Despite my indifference
Those unfortunate events ,
Really hollowed me
The changes painted me blue ,
But I will still keep myself.
On this day ,
Another number added
But seems nothing changed ,
I'm still on the ground
Gazing up through the sky ,
My dreams still impending
It's a summit out there ,
It's an uphill climb
This year may not be fruitful ,
But I'll still pursue happiness
And pray that my wishes be heard ,
Even if I'm not worth it
My value is still there ,
As long as I still lives.
So on this day ,
I'll offer thy life
To this cruel world ,
To this unfair life ,
To hell with the adversities ,
For this is my battlecry
May God blessed me ,
Until the day I die!
