The sound of silence ,

Burns through my ears

The chilling breeze ,

Creeps down to my spine

As I'm wide awake ,

Still , in the middle of the night.

The crickets are singing ,

It echoes through the place

The people are dead asleep ,

They are except for me.

Then a sudden gasp ,

And heart beating fast

My thoughts are messy ,

My body seemed paralyzed.

The darkness looms in my room

Though , the moon shines bright

The animal's howling ,

It gave me a fright

It's already 3:00 AM ,

The witching hour , they say

The atmosphere has changed ,

I sensed something eerie

I thought there's someone watching me ,

Or is it just my hallucination?

I'm breaking with cold sweats already ,

My voice won't let out

I gazed a silhouette ,

It's coming towards my bed.

I'm now terrified ,

I'm covered with my blanket

The more I fear it ,

The harder it is to sleep

So I tried to calmed down ,

Even for just a minute

A voice whispers me a lullaby ,

As my eyes are getting weary

My body slowly resigns ,

My eyes are losing consciousness

And the next thing I know ,

It's already sunrise as I wake!..
