The dress shop was amazing. Me, Audrey, Dillon, and Vanya stared open mouthed at all the choices in the 'Party Dresses-Adolescent Sizes.' section. There were so many choices, should I go dark, colourful, long, short, loose, tight, cute or edgy? Audrey immediately fell in love with a loose yellow dress with a flowy skirt and white flowers. Dillon saw a tight white dress with spaghetti straps and splits in the sides that looked like her goddess outfit. Vanya found a cute rainbow dress with vibrant swirly patterns and short sleeves. They all had reasonable prices. Meanwhile, I was looking for something special. Then, I saw it. A pastel blue tube dress with small purple stars and a long flowing skirt. It was perfect. And it only cost $15. Bargain! We packed our dress and were about to leave, but take a guess who was coming in. If you guessed Stacey... you're actually wrong, it was Annalise. Her hands did a flap-clap thing when she saw us. 'Hey guys!' She said excitedly, running to hug us. 'Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Annalise Wickett, I'm a fairy. But a low life one. I've got cancelled ever since I came out as a fairy. Stupid society, that's why I do my own thing. Anyways, see you guys around!' She said, heading for the dress section. 'Well she's...luminous.' Dillon remarked. 'But I like her. Come on, let's go try our dresses on!' We speed-walked home and locked ourselves in a school bathroom cubicle each. The fabric was soft, like normal fabric, but I loved it. We came out of our cubicles and did those dumb girly screams, hugging eachother.
'You look so cute!'
'Thanks, you too!'
'The colours look beautiful on you!'
'Jssksxbaodvdka!' Shrieked Dillon, prompting us to stare at her.
'Sorry, I got a little bit over excited. Anyways, what are we gonna do for hair and makeup?'
'I think we should surprise eachother on the day. Also known as Vin's birthday!' Vanya teased, stroking my hair. 'Girls, I don't want you to make a fuss, OK?'
'I know what that translates to, Vin, I've known you since Kindergarten.'
'Yeah, y'all are gonna have to treat me like a queen.' I said, laughing, surrounded by my best friends.
