at the dimly lit room of their apartment, goh sat hunched over his research papers, the soft glow of his laptop screen casting shadows across his face. it was well past midnight, but his dedication to his work knew no bounds. his fingers moved across the keyboard, typing furiously as he delved deeper into his latest project.

meanwhile, ash lay sprawled out on their couch, with pikachu curled up beside him, both fast asleep. but as the night wore on, ash stirred from his slumber, a faint frown marring his features. something didn't feel quite right, and instinctively, he sought out the source of his unease.

with a sleepy shuffle, ash made his way over to where goh was diligently working, with pikachu following closely behind. as he approached, ash couldn't resist the urge to wrap his arms around goh from behind, resting his head against his boyfriend's broad shoulders. pikachu, ever the loyal companion, clung onto goh's arm, effectively turning him into a makeshift pillow.

goh couldn't help but chuckle at the unexpected intrusion, his heart warming at the sight of ash and pikachu seeking comfort in his presence. "looks like i've been turned into a human pillow," he mused to himself, a fond smile tugging at the corners of his lips. but despite the interruption, he couldn't bring himself to be upset. after all, there was nowhere else he'd rather be than in ash's arms.

lost in his thoughts, goh barely noticed as ash stirred once again, this time fully awake. with a soft yawn, ash nuzzled closer to goh, his voice laced with sleepiness as he pleaded. "come to bed, goh..~ you need rest too."

but goh shook his head stubbornly, his gaze fixed on the task at hand. "i can't, ash. i need to finish this," he replied.

unwilling to take no for an answer, ash's determination kicked into overdrive. without hesitation, he scooped goh up into his arms, bridal style, much to goh's surprise. "w-wha- put me down, ash!" goh protested, his own cheeks flushing pink.

but ash simply grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "nopee, it's bedtime," he declared, before turning to pikachu with a playful wink. "come on, buddy! let's show goh how it's done."

caught off guard by ash's unexpected display of affection, goh couldn't help but giggle to himself. with a resigned sigh, he finally relented, his heart swelling with love for the boy who never failed to brighten his darkest nights.

and so, along with pikachu, ash carried goh off to bed, where they would snuggle up together beneath the covers. their worries and cares melting away in the warmth of each other's embrace. in that moment, goh knew that there was nowhere else he'd rather be than by ash's side.
