Max's POV

*4 months later*

"Max!"

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked down.

"Night?" I mumbled.

"Hali ka muna rito sa baba!" She shouted.

"Why? I'm working!" I shouted back. I'm at the second floor kasi sa bahay na pinagawa ko with my workers.

"Sus! Hali ka na kasi! Importante ito!"

I sighed and gave the clipboard to my assistant.

"Why?"

"Birthday mo ngayon. Ba't ka nagtatrabaho?"

"Oh, shoot."

"Bakit?"

"I kind of forgot about that."

"Ay anak ng tinapa ka talaga! Ba't nakalimutan mo?"

"It just slipped my mind."

"Sus. Ayaw mo lang mag celebrate kasi wala ang misis mo."

I sighed and sat on the bench. Margarette's in Switzerland since last week pa to check sa café niya roon.

"It's not like that naman. I have more important priorities din kasi."

"Ay sus. Hali ka na! Labas tayo!"

"What? I'm still in the middle of checking our future house-"

"Okay na okay na iyang mansion niyo. Tara!" I didn't get to answer back kasi hinila niya ako palabas ng gate.

"Have fun, Architect!" My co-workers shouted.

"Wait, they knew?"

Night just laughed and pumasok na sa sasakyan niya.

"Night!"

"Hali ka na! Pasok!"

I sighed and went inside her car.

"Where will you take me?"

"Secret."

"Look, it's okay if we won't celebrate my birthday. It's not special-"

"Anong hindi special? Sa araw na ito pinanganak ka. Pinanganak ang kaibigan namin na para ng kapatid namin. Hindi pwede na hindi special ang araw na ito. Huwag kang nonchalant diyan. Maging OA ka naman minsan."

I just laughed and shook my head. "Idiot."

"Kailan mo balak sorpresahin si Margarette sa bahay niyo?"

"Once she gets home. It's ready na rin naman anytime."

"Ayos. Akala ko kasi mall ang ginawa mo. Parang mall na iyong bahay niyo sa laki eh."

"I love my job and mas lalong love ko ang reason why I designed that house. I can't wait to live there with my wife."

"Hulog na hulog sa asawa niya."

"You're talking as if you're not crushing over your wife as well."

She just laughed while driving at a fast speed. So obviously she's excited. Typical Night.
