The soft light of dawn filled the sky as  I walked outside the palace gates with my father by side. Two guards came as a cover for us and I internally sighed but baba(Dad) signalled them not to come with us. Because of protocol & being from royal background I always felt tied up with expections and rules

I shrugged off my thoughts when baba guided me to walk forward with that precious smile of his. I interlocked our hands and we started walking

The morning air felt cool and refreshing. With each step, I felt the weight of my responsibilities lift slightly, replaced by a sense of calm. Usually he doesn't come for morning walk, Idk what's new today. He seems to be quite too

"Baba?" I shifted his attention towards me

"Yes" he responded & I refused to walk further

"Is everything okay?" I Stood there waiting for his response

"Yaa, my beautiful daughter. Everything is okay" he squared my face to assure me but still I wasn't convinced

"Sacchi?" I raised my left brow to warn him in case if he's planning to hide something from me

(Really?)

"Mucchi!" He playfully pulled my nose. We begin to take our steps down towards slope

(Truly!)

"Then what were you thinking?"

"I just can't go on, The smell of those sizzling hot Jalebis nearby is driving me crazy, and my stomach feels like it's hosting a rodent race!"

He changed the topic & ran off like a little kid in a candy shop, thrilled beyond measure. Laughing at his infectious excitement, I chased after him. Jalebis were his top pick, despite his sugar restrictions. But seeing his happiness, I couldn't help but let him enjoy.

We had a lot of fun having breakfast by a small stall, just like regular folks. It was the perfect start to my morning, seeing my whole world smile. A tear slipped from my eye as I realized it had been ages since I last saw Baba so happy.

"Please, my Lord, take away all his worries and give him some peace" I prayed silently in my heart. "I know he never shows it but deep down, I know how hard it is to spend the rest of your life alone without a partner." Quickly, I wiped away my tear and composed myself.

As we entered our mansion, I spotted Armaan bhai in his jogging suit, probably back from his morning run. A smile crept onto my lips at the sight of him.

"Asalamualaikum, Uncle" he greeted, and Baba returned the greeting with a smile. The three of us walked from the lawn to our living area.

"Where have you two been this morning?" Armaan bhai raised his eyebrow at me and instead of Baba, I replied.
