I knew someone was stalking me.
I was so right.
I trembled with fear as I was in my apartment complex parked.
I locked my doors and removed my keys from the ignition.
I didn't park by my apartment. I parked somewhere else.
Misleading them my exact place.
This white, Chevy SUV parked a few spaces over.
My phone lit up.
Unknown: Get inside your house.
Me: Who is this?
I didn't give my number to anyone.
My mind was spinning, my stomach was whirling.
Unknown: Let's not ask questions that don't matter. Get inside of your apartment. No one will touch you.
I blocked the number, calling 911 before my phone died and I nearly cried.
I looked out my left window and the car was still on and still parked.
I looked in front of me, observing a silhouette beside the apartment.
One of these men was out to get me. One was claiming to help.
But I have no idea.
I decided to breathe. Take my keys and purse, remove my heels.
I opened the door. The white car did the same, mirroring me.
The silhouette came out a bit further.
I sucked in a breath, locked my car, and sprinted to my apartment that fortunately was on the bottom floor.
I heard three echoing gunshots, flinching with every single one.
But I was inside.
I locked the doors, sobbing, plugging in my phone, then looking out the window in that direction.
The silhouette was gone.
The white car was flashing in alert.
And a man was dead on the floor right beside it.
Holy shit.
-
I couldn't sleep.
Obviously.
The police did show up.
But I doubt the silhouette man was getting caught.
I went to the number and unblocked him.
Me: You should be in jail for murder.
Me: Why were you there?
Impulse.
Probably not smart.
But after about 5 minutes my phone buzzed.
Unknown: You're safe. So why are you complaining?
Me: Because I've had a stalker for a very long time.
Unknown: How terrible.
Me: it's you isn't it?
Unknown: No.
I frowned at my screen.
Unknown: Go about your life as you usually do. All you have to know is no one will ever harm you.
Me: Playing guardian angel hm?
Unknown: I'm no angel.
Me: Am I predicted to grow old or die before that point?
Unknown: My rose, as long as you do as I ask of you, I don't see why you won't live till that point.
Me: so you are my stalker?
Unknown: I'm whatever you want me to be.
Me: I want you to leave me alone.
Unknown: You texted first.
Me: I want you to stop stalking me.
Unknown: Or else what?
Me: I'll tell police.
Unknown: I'll kill every one of them. Try me.
Me: Will you hurt me too?
Unknown: If you don't listen or follow my rules.
Me: Rules?
Unknown: Goodnight Dani. Sleep well.
